Spent 3 night in September They don't do evening meals only breakfast which is excellent. However the Old Inn a sister hotel is just about 5 minutes walk down the road and they do very good evening meals. If you are staying in the Gairloch highland lodge you get discount on meals in the Old Inn. The Old Inn olso... More

Comfortable, clean and pleasant stop on our trip. Room was bright and welcoming, bathroom clean and the breakfast served in a room with a wonderful view. Ideally situated on the main road and a delightful little harbour to stroll around very close by. Also a nice place to have a meal just a few 100 yards away.

First and foremost the staff were most welcoming and friendly. We had spent a week in Oban and stayed at the Highland Lodge for three days before going on to Edinburgh. This made a change from boutique and premier inn chains, and felt exactly as if staying in a rather large house (or lodge) free to come and go and... More

I chose this mainly based on the photos. Just a personal choice but I do like that old wooden lodge look and feel. On arrival it didn't disappoint. I'd have to say it is dated, but it has bags of character. It has that feeling of the hotel in 'the shining' or the lodge in 'twin peaks'. The place has... More

Nice enough place downgraded (by the Owners) from a hotel to a B&B. 27 en suite rooms and residents lounge. Good breakfast served in dining room. Nice grounds but very steep drive up from main road. Operates together with sister hotel (The Old Inn) claimed to be just 5 minutes walk away - maybe on the way down but longer... More

We stayed one night here. Nice location. Comfortable room, old fashioned TV. New bathroom but a lack of hot water in the shower in the morning. Eventually restored after clearing an airlock. Breakfast was ok, typical buffet style. Nice views out onto the estate whilst dining. Very friendly staff. Evening meal was at the sister hotel The Old Inn just... More

Rooms and public areas are comfortable and need a bit more money spent on them. Very busy during Summer and appears to rely wholly on Summer tourist trade. Staff generally friendly and welcoming. Honesty bar sums up friendly approach. Good breakfast!!

This was a nice hotel - rooms small but adequate. No eve I g meal options but 10% discount at pub next door where the food is very good. Staff helpful - we had a double room but they realised we wanted a twin and converted it for us immediately. Breakfast was ok and generally it was fine.

We booked one night here on short notice (like, 15 minutes before we arrived!) after our other accommodation fell through. Although some may find this type of hotel a little old fashioned, or even a bit tired, we actually really enjoyed our night here. We loved it for the family room we stayed in and for the self-serve bar right... More

She is in dire need of a make over, don't get me wrong it's still comfortable & serviceable for now, breakfast is the only meal they do, it's ok,the staff are the only saving grace.... More
