This was an excellent venue for a short break but people should be aware that this Inn is closed for the winter months from November until March, providing no services over the Christmas and New Year festive period. This is not made apparent on their web site and marks a significant change in policy which will certainly have an impact... More

We were given a family sized room that had a queen sized bed and two bunk beds. The (shower only) bathroom was tiny but functional - quite common in the UK. WiFi didn't work in the bedroom, but was OK downstairs in the bar/restaurant. Again the same in several of the smaller hotels we stayed at. (There was always an... More

The Old Inn is one of the best hotels I've stayed - the floors were lovely and creaky, adding to the charm and character of the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the public areas nice and cozy. The food was amazing and service was quick and very efficient. I would recommend staying here and will... More

We stayed here on the 23rd for one night b/b we were last here in 2009, and it was great then and even better this time! We had an evening meal which was very tasty and good value. The breakfast was excellent and I was catered for well as I m vegetarian. The lady from Bulgaria who served us was a joy... More

We stayed 1 night but were not inpressed with the Hotel or its staff. Both need a good overhaul. Handles hanging off doors dirt in most corners. Colour TV in every room but no tv reception. The waiting staff appeared to get a few orders wrong on the tables arounds ours. We asked for a particular bottle of wine and... More

Two night stay was enough, room excellent size and had TV, tea making facilities, but floor of room was like walking on trampoline, bathroom door sticky, sliding door wife could not get door open a couple of times and cloakroom sink (small), 2 single beds together which was fine but bed linen was wrong size, bed sheet stretched to a... A magnificent welcome to this lovely "old fashioned" village pub/hotel. The management seem to hit the correct note...neither too formal nor too laid-back. Food good, though my game casserole was a tasty piece of hard to eat gristle and bone in a wonderful sauce. Our two dogs were welcomed warmly and there were many splendid local walks for them to... Stayed at the Inn for 5 days and had an awesome time. The inn itself was full of character, the rooms were homely, the bar was well stocked with ale & whisky and the menu was spot on. All of this means nothing unless you have a good team to meet the needs of your customers- even the most needy... More

Its a Nice looking hotell, with nice location. The rooms are quite large and ok standard. The staff was helpfull, but a bit unexperienced. The food was ok, the Ribeye was amsing and tender, but the stakepie the day before was terrible, and should not be served at a restaurant. Tasted like microwawe food. The location of the Inn was... Third visit to The Old Inn, Gairloch restaurant. Last time and this time ordered haggis. Both times it was luke warm and I had to send it back. Not good. When it is hot it is delicious. My concern is that tourists trying haggis for the first time might be put off and think that haggis is supposed to be... More
