Friends booked us into this delightful country Inn as a surprise for the weekend of the Rewind Festival. Lovely comfortable room and inside the pub itself it's full of quirky but contemporary character that blends well with its oak timbered features. Friendly and helpful, hardworking staff, along with very well presented full breakfast, evening meal and Sunday carvery lunch. Would... More

We loved the family suite which was immaculate & a special feature was the roll top bath. The children were well catered for with a beautifully made up sofa bed & a large flat screen tv. The food was outstanding and the staff were so kind and accommodating. A special mention for the lovely South African manager, also the lady... More

For a totally relaxing break visit this boutique hotel. The rooms that I have stayed in have tasteful decor and furnishings, comfortable beds and large well equipped bathrooms. Breakfast is tasty, and healthy ( grilled not fried) but the highlight is dinner which never fails to impress. The menu is varied and interesting. The steaks are cooked to perfection and... More

We stayed here for two nights midweek as part of an online deal to include dinner one night and breakfast. The hotel was easy to find as it is on the road and it also has a large car park. The hotel from the outside looks very nice, there are some newer buildings at the back which look very modern.... More

We stayed for one night on a Friday in August using a Travelzoo promotion. We enjoyed a superior room, quirky in a good way. For a four star hotel a few little touches are missing such as a room safe and box of tissues, but nothing to cause an issue. A good breakfast with cereal and fruit/yoghurt to start as... More

Very welcoming and helpful staff. The hotel has great character including sloping floors in the rooms! We had a lovely comfortable room at the front of the hotel. There was a lot of traffic noise with the windows open but the secondary glazing was very effective and the traffic was not a problem at night. Breakfast was very tasty and... More

Stayed here on a Secret Escapes deal. Room (cinnamon) fronting the main road where secondary glazing stopped some noise but not all and the curtains and blinds didn't stop all the headlights. Room smelt musty each time we entered it but you got used to it. Redecorated bathroom with roll top bath looked stylish. Damp stains on ceiling in bathroom... More

We booked our stay through Travelzoo at a cost of £95 for DBB in a Superior Room, which we thought would be good value. We arrived to find we had been upgraded to the Suite. Well, the value for money factor just went through the roof! The Suite comprised of a King-size bedroom, with private Shower room and toilet, along... More

Very nice country pub/hotel. It's got a really lovely comfortable feel about it. Rooms in the outbuildings are very spacious and have been prepared really well for guests - lush white fluffy towels, crisp white bedding, huge sleigh bed and a really fresh clean feel to the rooms. The bathroom was spacious too and had a huge claw foot bath... More
