A fabulous Pub/Hotel just minutes away from Henley. We arrived to find a car parking space easily, make sure you put your registration in on the iPad, a very warm welcome and a fabulous room the Honey suite. Very well presented with a bath in the bedroom and a separate lounge area. All the staff we met were friendly attentive and professional especially Rachel who over a fantastic breakfast chatted with us. We would highly recommend if in the area to stay or just eat at this great venue.

The hotel has refused to refund my money following a cancellation. I find this very disappointing. Several phone calls to hotel have been promised a return call. Never happened. When asked to speak with duty manager was told there was no manager until next week.

The White Hart is such a pretty hotel and restaurant in a lovely area and we were impressed as soon as we arrived. We parked easily and checked in quickly. We were shown to our rooms which were decent sized, clean and full of charm and wow factor. We booked a table for dinner, the menu had a lot of choice and meals were enjoyed by all (plus desserts for the kids). The mattress on the bed was really comfortable and we all slept well followed by a lovely full English breakfast the next morning. No complaints from us, we would definitely recommend this hotel and will be booking again in the near future.

Very slow service - 45 minutes for two sandwiches and two salads. Sugar free tonic requested but had 3.8% sugar. Empty bottles left and not cleared the whole time. Tuna salad was cooked without asking a preference and was thoroughly overcooked. What happened to “good food is our speciality”. Even paying the bill (restaurant was half empty) took a 10 minute wait whilst chat was happening at the desk. Thoroughly unprofessional. Go elsewhere.

I recently went to the White Hart with a large group of friends for Sunday lunch. Apparently they are famous for this. We were so well looked after by all of the staff, and most of us had the special Lunch, where you quickly queue along a large service area and are piled high with a huge selection of beautifully cooked meats, veg and yorkshire puds! So well cooked. Other friends had some of the South African specials on the menu, and all of us were so happy with the quality and value. I'm sure it is always good here, but let me recommend a Sunday afternoon with friens or family to while away the day. 5 star!

Having not eaten at the White Hart for years, we popped in for lunch today. It will be a very long time before I visit again. There were very few customers yet we waited nearly an hour for a pizza and a sandwich. Having been asked what bread I would like my sandwich made with I chose brown bread. The sandwich eventually arrived as toast, burnt in places, cold. The filling was also cold. But the chips were hot! The pizza was warm, but nothing to recommend by any means. Sandwich £12. Pizza £16.00. I expect to pay more these days, but I also expect my food to be worth it. And this definitely wasn’t! Credit where it due, I had a quiet word with one of the staff and she took the sandwich off the bill. Faulty Towers spring to mind. I don’t know what as going on in the kitchen. Thank goodness there weren’t many customers otherwise I dread to think how long we would have waited. Well actually we wouldn’t have waited because I would have walked out. All in all. NOT GOOD.

Four of us have lunched regularly at the White Hart for several years but on the last visit standards had really dropped. We had booked a table for Noon and on arrival the ambience was good and orders were quickly taken for drinks and food. But the food did not arrive until 55 minutes later! The soup was very salty with unusual texture (one diner had bad indigestion after eating it) and the hot sandwiches had very hard bread or badly burned toast with the steak fillings for two being cold and hard (over-cooked and then left to go cold before serving). One diner who has coeliac found her "gluten-free" sandwich actually had a filling containing gluten - despite advance arrangements having been made for her gluten-free lunch. Some drinks ordered were never brought to the table and the coffee order was mixed up with the wrong coffees being brought. All this - and prices have recently been increased by around 30%! Sadly, we will not be returning any time soon. A very disappointing experience!

We had our staff Christmas party in the private dining room and were very well looked after by the two assigned friendly and attentive staff. - special thanks to Jeremiah who managed us all very well. I’d give the food 8 out of 10 as 80% of the meals looked amazing . We would definitely book another party in the private room again 😊

This is the 3rd function here & the standards have slipped. The bedroom let were cold, the buffet breakfast was a cheap alternative to the previous cooked to order & the new management seem disinterested in customer feedback or retaining customer loyalty. It was a gem but I doubt we will ever go again.
