This was a recommendation to us, and we were not let down. It was everything they said and more. We were warmly welcomed by Dorothy the owner and she absolutely spoiled us for three days. The setting is so peaceful and picturesque and the bedrooms are beautiful, with all the amenities you need. Her breakfast's were delicious and varied. Ideally... More

Everywhere in Alnmouth was full, so we were recommended Bilton Barns about a mile up the hill. All we can say is, we were glad that none of the Alnmouth's B&Bs were available ! In our travels, we never were spoilt with such comfort, scenery and hospitality as at Bilton Barns. Dorothy, the hostess extends the best of welcomes. The... More

We stayed for four nights at Bilton Barns and we were warmly welcommed by our hostess Dorothy. The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and spacious. There is a lovely conservatory where we relaxed in the evening with stunning views to the coast. The breakfasts were delicious and the location is ideal for going up or down the coast.

We stayed at Bilton Barns for three nights, and Dorothy was such a friendly hostess (with her farmer husband, Brian, who cooks the delicious breakfasts) - and was very helpful in choosing the best place for dinner (and would recommend Bistro 23 in Alnmouth and The Old Boat House in Amble particularly). We had a wonderfully large and comfortable bedroom... More

Spent three nights here. Spacious room, comfortable beds, good shower, good breakfast at communal breakfast table. Dorothy, the host, goes to endless trouble to ensure everything is right for her guests.

Our family of five stayed in one of the self catered cottages for 4 days over half term May/June 2016. The accommodation was perfect; extremely comfortable, well equipped, clean and spacious. The view from our window over the coastal village of Alnmouth, the beach and the sea was fantastic. The farm house gardens were perfect for our children to play... More

We have been holidaying at Bilton Barns several times a year since 2004 and we never tire of the place. As soon as we have to leave, we want to come back. We usually stay in one of the self catering cottage suites for longer holidays but have often stayed in the Farmhouse for shorter breaks. Dorothy's breakfasts are amazing!!... More

A lovely warm welcome awaits you at Bilton Barns with tea and Dorothy's lovely home made cakes. Our accommodation was excellent, very comfortable and with superb views of the countryside and sea. Breakfast was great and a real social affair shared with the other guests around the large dining table. One morning we discovered that we had a puncture in... More

Have just spent the October half term with the family travelling down from Scotland. Excellent accommodation and very comfortable. The location couldn't be faulted with so much to do and see in the area. Was also perfect for my mother to fly up from Southampton. Will definitely return again.

I almost didn't want to review this gem as I wanted to keep it my secret! It's a large working arable farm and does both bed and breakfast and self catering little cottages. The rooms are lovely with good views, the four poster room is romantic! Breakfast is plentiful and served around a large table where all the guests sit,... More
