Just returned from a 4 night stay at this lovely B&B. We had a suite on the top floor which was very well equipped. Lovely comfy beds. Sofa and armchair in the lounge. The breakfasts were the best we’ve ever had and we travel extensively. Fabulous cold buffet with fresh fruits. Good choice of hot food including Craster kippers. Lovely bacon and eggs. Perfectly cooked and very well presented. Sad to say we can’t return. Barb and Mick are retiring at he end of this month after running the hotel for 33 years firstly as a hotel with a very busy restaurant and for the last 11 years as a B&B with a restaurant that opens a few nights a week. Would just like to wish Mick and Barbara all the best in their retirement and thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had one night at The Saddle with two dogs and it was wonderful. The room was spacious and very clean with all we needed to hand. The breakfast was exceptional, particularly the kippers which we have subsequently bought online! The parking may be a challenge but we were lucky enough to park on the road outside and three sets of steps with two zealous dogs was fun but would not detract one iota from recommending The Saddle. We also ate at Hooked which is highly recommended.

We stayed for 3 nights In one of the lager rooms at the top of the house. Good facilities, clean and tidy. Car park at the back is small , but there is plenty of free parking around the town. For us the breakfast wasn’t as good as other guest had suggest. We also found the B&B quite warm in the restaurant as there were no windows open and being at the top of the house through the corridors it was stifling. If you get hot like me and like fresh air this could be an issue in the hight or summer. Having said all this the location was perfect and the room was great and I would stay again. I’d just bring my fan !

Lovely bed and breakfast in the middle of a beautiful village and very close to the beach. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Good size bedroom. Breakfast was delicious and plenty off it. Selection of teas. Selection of cereals, fresh fruit cut, jam, marmalade, marmite, full English, kippers, vegetarian cooked breakfast. I forgot to let them know that I’m gluten free (on a Sunday eve), needn’t worry, they had gluten free bread and sausages in stock. Highly recommend.

Just spent 4 nights here and really satisfied. We booked the Executive Suite - excellent! Three rooms - lounge, bedroom and bathroom - all furnished/appointed really well, and a good size. Breakfasts are really good, lots of fresh fruit, etc, and cooked breakfasts made to order with little waiting time. Car parking in Alnmouth is very limited, so the free parking available here is perfect. We will return!
