Good value for money overnight stay. Room was spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet sausages and bacon a bit cold but good choice. Good town centre location.

It was a mixed affair really. The hotel bar, restaurant and breakfast area are very nice. The room was a good size, but I did pay for the superior room. The decor is quite dated. The bed was comfy but both nights I didn't get any decent sleep due to some people arguing nearby. You can also hear whatever anyone says or their TV through the walls. There was a wedding on one night in there function room which went on late and was pretty rowdy. The breakfast was good, you can order food to be made ( but they don't seem to promote this). The stay was very expensive for what we got which I think is why I may have overlooked these issues if it wasn't so pricey. Some staff were lovely, some not as bothered. I wouldn't go back to be honest.

All the facilities, food and especially the staff were excellent, however, I can't imagine anyone using room 51 or those adjacent getting much rest during the summer when the outside seating area is in use. Car parking is often a real problem.

The hotel has lovely, chunky old fashioned furniture and plenty of lamps that create ambience and cosiness. The room was very clean, the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and toilet rolls. Also provided is a hairdryer and complimentary bottles of mineral water. Some rooms have showers whilst others have a bath and a shower. Have stayed before and will stay again.
