When we walked in for Sunday lunch my heart sank. The place was packed, which in many places means poor food or service (or both). Not at The Wheatsheaf, though. Although the staff were clearly rushed off their feet they could not have been more helpful and attentive. As for the food - it was served swiftly with none of...

The staff at The Wheatsheaf went beyond the call of duty to ensure that our stay was the best it could be. The service was impeccable, the food delicious and our rooms were perfect. We couldn't recommend it more. Thank you!

We spent two nights at The Wheatsheaf Inn, in Northleach which is very well situated for visiting nearby towns such as Chipping Campden, Stow, Bourton-on-the-water etc. Overall our stay was lovely. The food in the restaurant both at breakfast and in the evenings was of very high quality. They did run out of a couple of dishes on our first...

Having seen the gorgeous pictures of the rooms on the website I was so excited to stay here for a romantic two night break. The hotel is well situated within the village of Northleach surrounded by lots of lovely country walks. The hotel is gorgeous but our room was very ordinary and a bit pokey really with absolutely no soundproofing....

We dropped by here for a quick bite on our way back from the Tudor Farmhouse. Loved the place. Great design, attentive friendly staff, great food quality and excellent music selection. Since the place felt relevant / hip, you would have assumed that we would have felt out of place with our seven month child. But the staff went out...

We booked a 'very good room' here through Mr & Mrs Smith for the festive period. We arrived to a cold welcome, with our names not on the list for our reservation. Following some waiting, we were advised to 'follow-me', upon some questioning, we had in fact got a room. Relief. We walked to the room and were surprised to...

Arrived here for a relaxing 2 night summer break. Northleach is a beautiful little village and The Wheatsheaf is the centre of the town in terms of food and drink. First impressions were of a bustling country inn with a large emphasis on food. Upon entering we quickly understood that they cater for all walks of life but a lot...

Had a fab lunch here - great food & brilliant service. Waitress was excellent. Often service is slow here, am guessing they are under staffed, but on our last visit the pace was about right. Would recommend a visit for good food!

well, my first room was 8 and there is no phone reception and the landline did not work. So I went to room 14 which had a wonderful bath but the TV did not work. And, when I asked someone to fix it no one came.....having said that dinner was delicious, absolutely lovely. I think the rooms are well done...

I have been to the Wheatsheaf a few times and always enjoyed the ambience and food. Last Friday it was better than ever. We took my husband's mother to celebrate her 85th birthday and when we arrived, we realised that there was a large group having a Christmas party. Always a problem when you have a December birthday. However, we...
