We were very impressed with the Italian-style 1880s building and its well-maintained decor. The restaurant is amazing with an embossed ceiling and crystal chandeliers. We had two excellent evening meals with a good choice of hot well-prepared food. Outside is a terrace and very well-tended gardens providing a nice area for a relaxing drink. There is also a popular Beatles... More

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Service friendly but discreet ambiance relaxed but at same time stunning shame not better views from dining room window but food made up for it. Whitebait starter was to die for and great to see you didn't have to have roast (though I did!) Having extra gravy boat made up for slightly overdone Yorkshire. Time... More

My stepson had his wedding at the tower hotel, the staff were helpfull, the food was very good, plenty on the plates, and the childrens choice (which came out first) looked just as good as the adults. The evening was held at the warterfront which is linkedto the hotel, yet again can't fault the staff and the buffet..... Apart from... More

Loved the beautiful restaurant setting, good choice on menu and good value. High quality well-presented home-made food from the new chefs and the staff were excellent. Particularly liked the creme brulee. Would highly recommend and would visit again.

Have eaten here lots of times with no complaints. But had Sunday dinner last week and was very disappointed with the food. Was told a new chef started. Lovely friendly staff but won't be eating here again. Go to there other restaurant the waterfront along the seafront you won't be disappointed there.

Special 50th birthday celebration for my auntie was spoiled by the food. Children's meals last out, cold chips and onion rings, and a months notice was given to the hotel that 2 people eating were vegan and the meals they got were awful. Vegans eat more than apples, pears, potatoes broccoli and peas!!

I went to the Tower Hotel with a group of 20+ for a Sunday lunch for a very special occasion. I was not at all happy with the food or service offered to us. Firstly, within the party there were two small children and typically their food is brought out first. Well, for one child they had to wait until... More

We were staying in a twin number five. It was dark and gloomy. The floor was squeaky and we would wake up each time one wanted to use the bathroom. The internet did not work during the day. We had to use it at 4am to get through. The staff was excellent. The restaurant and the stairs are impressive. The... More

The entrance hall/stairs and bar are impressive. The bedroom was well appointed but old fashioned. The bathroom was sparkling clean with a lovely large shower. The tv was on a low stand which meant it was difficult to lie in bed and watch, should you want to. The staff, on the whole, provided a very good service (and where it... More

We came here just for a overnight stay. The building was beautiful and the staff were excellent, especially Donna and Ryan, nothing was too much trouble, really friendly. They didn't have a permanent chef at the time, but the chef from the waterfront restaurant was helping out. He provided us with a wonderful evening meal and the full English in... More
