Thank you so much for this review. It means a lot when our guests appreciate the little touches that make the difference to your stay. It may be difficult to stay again, since we will be retiring from the business very shortly. Do keep in touch though x

This is one of nicest places I have stayed at for many years. It is one of the quietest locations I have ever stayed in. The swimming pool is a good size. There is also a hot tub in the vast garden which has a number of chickens roaming around. We were welcomed with tea and

Ah yes, the books... not every bedroom has its own bookcase with a wide variety of reading material so I am delighted you made use of it. This is a lovely house and we have enjoyed living here for the past 5 years. We will miss it when we leave.

In this extreme heat, our guests sitting room is blissfully cool; they knew how to build in the 15th Century. If I am given warning about someone's dietary needs I always try to accomodate them. There's nothing worse than being made to feel you are being a nuiscence just because you ask for something different. It was a simple enough adjustment to make for you and I'm just pleased that it made your stay that much better - and you were right in your email - they are home made jams and marmalade. Come and see us again.

At different times of the year, nature surprises us with its beauty here. We love watching how the animals and garden change over time and I'm glad you enjoyed that aspect too. Peter is very knowledgable and he loves to share that if a guest enquires. of him. I'm glad the interior was appreciated too... all genuine articles- even the unicorn!
