Stayed over night whilst at an event locally. The positives to the stay was that the staff were very helpful, the rooms were large, easy parking and the breakfast exceeded all expectations. However, the unfortunate negatives were that that the room was a little tired, the wifi was broken and our bathroom was not very nice without a shower and...

We stayed 2 nights for a friend's wedding. The location is an idyllic English country village with the only pub perfectly situated on the green. The bed was comfortable, the full English breakfast delicious but the most memorable part of the visit was the staff. The young staff and the manger were friendly, yet professional; they all seemed very happy...

We came here for Sunday lunch and were very impressed, The food was excellent and the service prompt and efficient. The restaurant has a warm, friendly atmosphere and a wide selection of dishes to choose from. We opted for the Sunday roast and weren't disappointed.

My husband and I were very impressed with the food and service at this very pictuesque village pub. I had the duck with damsen sauce and my husband had the fillet steak, both were delicious and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend. We will be back.

Ok, so both a business and pleasure stay. I had my first date here last night and found it was a great setting, warm summers evening overlooking the quintessential english cricket green. The Cricketers arms offer ok accommodation, yes a lick of paint and bit of housekeeping wouldn't go a miss based on footfall traffic but overall ok and very...

I have stayed here a few times on a business trip and liked it so much I came back for a weekend with my husband. It is in a lovely little village overlooking the village green. In the summer there is a fantastic beer garden and in the winter a roaring log fire which makes it really cosy. The menu...

The Cricketers Arms is the ideal place to stay whether you’re on business, travelling to the airport, attending a wedding or simply visiting the area. We have 10 beautiful, individually designed bedrooms all with en-suite facilities and lots of homely touches. Some are more modern, with contemporary furnishings and splashes of bold colour; others are more traditional, with antique pieces and soft, muted colours. All have really comfortable king or super kingsize beds, with good linen, luxurious throws and piles of cushions, as well as powerful showers, fluffy white towels and lovely toiletries. One room even has a stunning free-standing bath. There’s also a digital flat screen television, direct dial telephone and free Wi-Fi in every room to use during your stay and you can treat yourself to champagne and chocolates on arrival, too.We have a choice of rooms from doubles, superior doubles and twins to junior suites and family rooms – three have their own staircase up from the restaurant so you can put the children to bed and enjoy a relaxed supper. Eat, and sleep well and have a hearty English breakfast the next day. Enjoy great value too; rooms start at £65 for the night, with a family room costing £135, including breakfast. As well as being ideal for getting to or from Stansted airport, the Cricketers Arms is just a stone’s throw from Parklands in Quendon, so if you’re attending a wedding there and need somewhere to stay, just give us a call. We also have a big car park where you can leave your car for free during your holiday if you travel from Stansted.
