The staff here are great and the place retains some real old world charm. Views from the garden are idyllic and timeless. Admittedly not the place to go if you want an ultra modern super hi spec environment but its idiosyncrasies made it all the nicer!

We had a very pleasant weekend here. The building is a rabbit warren and our room was quite dark. The bathroom was small but used the available space well. The staff were friendly and helpful. Despite a problem with the lack of a chef the breakfasts were excellent and the restaurant is a delight with fine views.

I had a very pleasant one-night stay at the Mariners. The staff were very friendly in total, and helpful - everyone seemed to enjoy working there. The breakfast room is an utter delight, letting in sunlight from extensive glassed areas. My room was 'atmospheric,' reflecting the seventeenth-century origins of the building, and with an angled ceiling and dark beams. The... More

We recently stayed a night at Mariners Hotel in Lyme Regis. The hotel is located at the top of the high street with spectacular views from the garden and some rooms (including ours). The room was clean but the furniture looked as if it had been reclaimed from an office. Bed and linen were cheap. Breakfast was very nice with... More

My daughter and family lost their car keys after a week self catering in Lyme Regis. The hotel managed to fit them in for the night and looked after them so well. Did far more than anyone would expect and we are so grateful to them as they made a bad situation so much easier for the children

Stayed for just one night but would definitely stay again, had room 11 , great sea view, very friendly staff, good breakfast, plenty of choice. Nice stroll to the promenade, good exercise walking back.

Good service, friendly staff, very helpful. Breakfast was very good, good choice. I had kippers, which are my favourite, cooked well on each occasion. The full English was also very good. The town is not too far, only problem is the steep hill coming back. You need a good walk to walk off the large breakfast.

The photos online were not accurate to reality. The reception was messy and the lady seemed indifferent to us. As we walked to our room we could see the walls needed a serious paint job and the carpets were worn and a bit gross. The room was fine but pokey, to be fair we booked it last minute and took... Nice hotel in a good location. Stuart was a great host. Nice bar and lounge area for relaxing. Lovely garden, perfect for a summers day! Good breakfast. Plenty of parking just opposite the hotel which is handy. Would highly recommend if staying in the area.
