Lovely, comfortable, friendly and welcoming place to stay in Yelverton. Would definitely recommend. Only regret is eating at The Rock Inn instead of booking to eat at the Harrabeer! Amanda & Mike were very entertaining hosts and the location of the Harrabeer is perfect for any business you might have in Yelverton being a 10-minute (maximum) walk from the Rock...

My wife and I wanted to explore Dartmoor (by car) and chose Harrabeer House as our base. We're pleased we did; the comfortable, warm and friendly atmosphere generated by the hosts Michael and Amanda, the excellent breakfasts and the way the house is presented all contributed to a very good experience. We will be back.

We stayed for 2 nights in late October, in the lower suite. We had a lovely stay. The location was great, the owners Michael and Amanda were kind, warm and friendly, the room and extended living area were fantastic, and the breakfast kept us going all day! We'd highly recommend it. Karl, Jo, Ziggy October 2016

Great place to spend a relaxing break. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, great hosts, great food.....and so very quiet. Hardly isolated but very much off the beaten track, the location is ideal. Would recommend and would return.

To be clear this is isn't a boutique hotel. However it is an exceptionally well run small hotel that represents great value for money. Your hosts are very sociable and friendly. You will have a great breakfast and leave feeling that you have been really well looked after. We had two small dogs with us and the arrangements - separate...

I am so glad that you made it clear we are not a boutique hotel - we would hate that label as this is our home!!! Furry friends welcome and we find the lower suite works well for all. Apologies for such a tardy response. Best Wishes.

A great place to spend a few days. The proprietors go the extra mile to make your stay pleasurable. Lovely wood burning stove in the reception area and a well stocked bar . The mini cream tea on arrival was a pleasant surprise. The evening meal and breakfasts were amazing. Plenty of hot water for the bath. Would definitely return...

Our stay at Harrowbeer Country House was a real highlight in our trip to Devon. Amanda and Michael were really friendly and welcoming. The bed was the most comfortable we had slept in and an excellent choice of breakfast, beautifully cooked.

The best couple of days we have had anywhere! Mike and Amanda were magnificent hosts: Amanda provided fabulous food, while Mike provided hilarious anecdotes! Such nice people! We got on so well... The bed in the Master Bedroom was as comfortable as you could imagine a bed to be, in a very light and airy room, full of nice touches....

You are most kind with your review and, as the apologies above, I have been most tardy with our thanks. MCW continues to entertain - he loves an audience! We had a great stay over two days and were made to feel really welcome. The food was superb, using local ingredients, they could do very well to open up the restaurant to non residents. Why only an average rating? The property was very tired and needs a lot of tlc. That said, we would recommend the harrabeer to anyone...

We are please that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you appreciated the hospitality and food. Thank you for your suggestion about opening up the restaurant to non residents - we are open for that but do not openly advertise it as, to be honest, I do not have enough energy to cater for the extra work! There are adjoining rooms with a privacy door for families and all rooms are suitable for single occupancy at a reduced room rate.
