I only stayed one night but was pleased overall with the experience. The house itself was a bit difficult to locate but once I did, I knew I had made a good decision to stay here. The house is very charming and feels very private with its enclosed garden. The room was comfortable and clean. The full English breakfast was...

Four years ago my wife and I visited England and stayed at the Longhouse. We journeyed back this year to visit the innkeepers whom we now consider friends. IN my original view I stated that Lorely makes the best eggs in Devon and that has not changed. The Longhouse is an old building (1300's) but Peter and Lorely have done...

Passed through Moretonhampstead on an extended cycling trip with a friend. What a lovely and quaint village! The LongHouse was prebooked as it offered facilities to safely store our bikes. Peter welcomed us on arrival and gave us all the info we required without being obtrusive or patronising. He and Lorely are simply great hosts! The room was neat and...

We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting a friend in nearby Bovey Tracy. An early drawback to overcome is the lack of parking; however, this is a problem for almost every property in Moretonhampstead, and we were aware of it before arriving - there are a couple of nearby car parks that are both convenient and cheap....

To be perfectly honest, the picture provided was very pretty and looked like I thought was in the countryside of Dartmoor, but in fact it is in the main town/street hidden up between two houses behind a gate and narrow passage. On arriving there in the pouring rain in the dark we were a bit disappointed to find there wasn't...

We stayed in February half term for a 2 night break with our teenage children. We had the small double and the twin and shared the bathroom. The accommodation was sparkling clean and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. As a vegan I was accommodated for. Our dog was welcomed too. Peter and Lorely were friendly and...

Comfortable rooms in a really peaceful setting. Excellent variety of food for breakfast......if only we hadn't eaten so well the night before at the local pub, recommended by our hosts! Wish we'd had time to enjoy the pretty garden and spend more time exploring the village, but I shall definitely return. Thank you for providing us with a perfect, overnight...

Nice little B & B nestled in the middle of Moretonhampstead. Very friendly hosts and nice breakfast. Lovely garden and comfortable room. You have to have your eyes open to spot the entrance as the house is set back down a little gated alley. This means it's nice and quiet... not that the village is terribly noisy! There are several...
