On our way down to Kingsbridge and decided to stop for the night in Honiton after booking the Heathfield Inn. Leading up to Christmas so was busy in the bar area but service was good and the food was pub food but very good. Room was clean and warm. My only criticism was the wall lights. No lampshades so the...

We stayed here over New Year and had a great time. The pub itself is is located in the middle of a housing estate in Honiton. Its not the best location when surrounded by so many beautiful towns and villages, but its a great base to explore the area and the pub is really old world with inglenook fire place...

Very oldie world pub. Lovely big fire place. Although not lite this evening. Food was good. It was very busy. So well done chef and staff for getting us all feed. Particularly helpful to dietary needs. Big car park.

Attended recently got a family party. Most of us ate from the festive menu, can only say after spending many years in the kitchen there is no excuse for frozen vegetables, roast potato's and wafer thin slices of turkey which I doubt had ever seen a bone let alone been carved from one. The staff were again as frozen as...

Hi, very sorry that you haven't enjoy your meal but I'm afraid to say for someone who spent so many years in kitchen like you said doesn't know the difference between frozen and fresh vegs, you are welcome to come here and check for yourself anytime. We were quite busy, unfortunately short of staff and we were under some pressure,...

Lovely stay at The Heathfield Inn on a Sunday evening. The Family room was spacious, clean and tidy. The owner had clearly paid attention to our conversation on the phone during booking as there was three sets of towels in the bathroom and three cups by the kettle. Large sofa area in our family room was a nice area to...

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was huge and comfortable though a little dated and in need of spruce up. The meals are excellent value and plentiful in size and variety. The welcome was warm We enjoyed our stay

We received a warm welcome when we arrived. Our room was very spacious with complimentary tea/coffee. The bed was huge and so comfortable. En suite bathroom was very clean with bath and overhead shower. The staff were really lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was reasonably priced with a good selection of food for all tastes. The...

We fancied a spur of the moment meal out. We couldn't get in at the Hare n Hounds so, driving through Honiton and thought we'd try the Heathfield Inn. Very glad we did. It's a lovely thatched building in the middle of a housing estate, so not exactly a passing trade route, and for this reason (probably) it was very...
