Had the master suite which was nicely decorated with a great bathroom, comfortable bed, and great views from the sitting area. Breakfast menu a little limited, but good quality food. Ate in the restaurant on the Friday evening. Felt it was all a bit rushed simply because there were only 5 tables dining. Food was excellent. Highlight was the in... More

The venue is fantastic, the staff are attentive and the food was cooked very well. I was lucky enough to be taken to the Plantation House Hotel for a meal as a surprise- from the beginning of the visit to our leaving it was so special. An amazing experience and many thanks to the chef (who makes a mean non-... More

Extremely happy to find such a well run hotel with attentive staff. Room standard was very high, and the meals and service were of equal quality. A hard working owner did everything to make everyone welcome. Perhaps an offer of water and more bread would have been nice at dinner, but hardly a concern when so much else was of... More

Firstly I would start by saying the hotel is lovely, it's beautiful and the surrounding countryside is amazing. My room was spacious and the bathroom was luxurious with a huge bath and separate shower. The view from my room was stunning - rolling green hills, plus a fruit bowl and water was provided for me. Richard the host was helpful... More

Although quite pricey, when you stay there, it's easy to see why, the rooms are lovely & the attention to detail is perfect. The room was clean & tidy, modern but classic, lovely view, comfortable bed, fresh fruit laid out with biscuits, tea & coffee facilities, spotless modern bathroom & lounge furniture all in the room. The small restaurant is... More

This was supposed to just be a quick overnight, to give a break in our journey. After staying though, We would make the journey specifically to stay here. Friendly, welcoming, exceptionally clean and with delectable food to top it all off. Our room was nice and quiet, a good size with views over a field of horses - perfect for... More

We stayed 3 nights in August, dining on two them in the restaurant. The bedroom (No 12) was lovely, the staff that we met were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast and dinner were first rate. All in all a good place to stay, although a little impersonal. The waitress from Valencia was very helpful, and we saw one or two... More

My fiancé and I stayed here for a lovely midweek treat, staying in room 21. The room and bathroom were lovely with a spectacular view. The decor reminded me of what you find in the Caribbean, lovely wicker furniture. A little piece of paradise in Devon. Dinner was lovely and my multiple food allergies were well catered for. Overall, we... More

We arrived at the Plantation House Hotel and were greeted warmly by Chef Patron Richard. We were shown to our room and within 5 minutes 3 slices of fruit cake arrived allowing us to have a cup of tea whilst watching TV - A great start after a long journey! Our room (11) was a good size for us 2... More
