One of Rick Stein's restaurants, I was expecting a lot, and I wasn't disappointed. All the dishes served at our take were excellent. The service was second to none. The seafood was of course very special, but our desserts were divine.

A nice dining experience, we arrived early for lunch and were invited into the residents lounge and given the menu to peruse, a good a la carte choice or a set 3 course for £20.00 As there was fish on the set menu we opted for that. For starter we had a tasty fish and mussel stew, followed by pan fried... Perfect way to spend a rainy lunchtime in Padstow. The set menu at lunch time is great value and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed. We also had a £50 voucher from our accommodation which made it even better value. The service was good. Just a good amount of time between courses. Staff helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

We have been lucky enough to dine here a couple of times, and on both occasions the food, service and ambiance were fabulous! We often visit Padstow in autumn, and have booked to eat here for my birthday on two occasions. It is quiet and romantic in atmosphere and setting, yet still retains a fairly relaxed feel. Clearly being. Rick... More

After going 3 times last sept- and loving it - we were so looking forward to our dinner last night - may be a new chef - but felt like a different restaurant- pigeon starter ok but no better than!- both my husband and my sirloin on the bone was extremely disappointing - not the juicy steak I was expecting-and... Really looking forward to our dinner in one of Rick Stein's. All was okay but never reached the heights I was hoping for. Decor, service and food very serviceable... But overpriced. No passion. Sorry Rick. X

-- Room tiny ("compact" attic room). Very awkward especially if tall - low beams. They've tried to cram everything in but have not executed well, eg. corner fridge would've been more accessible if door rehung the other way, and shelf with kettle & tea/coffee making equipment should've been slidable. Pay the extra for a bigger room or don't bother. --... More

My husband and I, with our nearly 3-year-old daughter, had a late lunch/early dinner here. We arrived a little early, which they didn't seem to mind and accommodated us in their lounge until our table was ready. They were great with our daughter, providing her with colouring pens, children's menu, high chair and friendly chat . The service was efficient,... More

We had a night in the Attic room which was cosy but well laid out with a really nice bathroom- loved the Molton Brown. The Hotel is contempory with a boutique style and smart friendly staff. However this is reflected in the high nightly price. There was some confusion over parking. Padstow is a nightmare for traffic- and this was... More

Went for lunch at the bistro. As expected the food was first class. The kids were made to feel very welcome. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend anyone to try this restaurant , I would love to go back. There was also a good specials deal if you wanted a cheaper lunch.
