We had a very lovely and comfortable stay in one of the glamping pods at Gilsland. Everything was spotlessly clean and ready for our arrival. The fire pit outside the pod made for a great way to unwind in the evening outside even when the weather was cold. I will definitely be back either to the pod again but I may also look at one of the hot tub chalets

My family and I have stayed in a studio twice now, they are literally perfect for a quick and easy staycation, the studios themselves were exceptionally clean, well equipped, had hand sanitiser etc in place and are very modern. The shower/toilet facilities were also good (totally worth paying a little extra to get this over the glamping pods if you don’t want to share facilities). We paid for the linen package both times also, this included towels and bedding for £25 so again hassle free for not having to bring duvets/towels etc from home. Our studio over looked the play park which meant the children played out a lot and we could see them at all times which is particularly great for piece of mind whilst relaxing on the porch. There is a book exchange and dvd sharing area which is fab and we used the communal kitchen which was again exceptionally clean. (only thing it is missing which would be great is an oven) Site is at a great location about 20 minutes into town centre which is good for lovely strolls there and back. It also does not have a central entertainment area like many other parks, so it was very peaceful and relaxed. Only suggestion could be a small amount of bikes for kids to borrow whilst they are there save people having to trek the bikes with them on the car. Staff were on hand for anything required and clearly the park is maintained to a very high standard. We will definitely be booking our third trip soon! Thanks to Lesley in particular for being very helpful and professional.

As regular visitors to Gilsland we always find the site a welcoming escape from the busy city in which we live. The caravans are clean, warm and well-equipped and the views across the Firth of Forth are inspiring. The location is perfect for a stroll into North Berwick or to hop on the train to Edinburgh. The site is green and spacious and well-maintained. A perfect holiday destination.
