My best friend & I stayed here on Saturday night after a Thetford forest concert. On arrival, pre-concert, we were met by the owner Peter and shown to our rooms, we felt very welcome. Mine was a double at back of house and my friend's a single at the front. We both agreed that the bedding and towels had a lovely feel. The rooms were spotless and tea/coffee/biscuits and a bottle of water were provided. I found a fan in the wardrobe the next morning, but had luckily not needed it. Cooked breakfast (choice of continental £6 or full English £9) was delicious and the homemade yoghurt to which we added honey was excellent. Roela and her husband served us, and they checked if everyhing was ok, and it was. Plenty of parking is available. If I need to stay in Thetford again, I would not hesitate to stay here. Much nicer than a chain hotel in my opinion. Thank you Roela & Peter.

Owners were ever so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! The guest house itself had a homely and welcoming feel, making you feel at ease and comfortable straight away. Offered fresh milk to go with refreshments in the room, presented in a sealed Kilner bottle was a lovely touch. The room was pleasant and cleaner than any chain hotel you might stay in. Bed sheets were crisp white and smelt lovely and fresh, as were the towels in the bathroom! We booked breakfast for the morning, which was fresh to order and included local produce! Our room was on the front which had a quaint view, and the flower boxes at the windows made it very pretty! Whilst we had a peaceful sleep, the bed itself was a little hard for our liking; however, that is simply personal preference. Some guests may prefer it a little firm, so it is in no way a criticism! It would also not deter us from staying here, if we were to visit Thetford again.

We spent the Easter weekend here to explore NT properties & the location worked perfectly. We had a very warm welcome from Roela & Peter who clearly work hard to make everyone enjoy their stay. This is not a fancy hotel. It's an old building & I believe they are gradually working through the rooms to improve them. Ours was small & a little tatty but it was adequate, clean & comfortable. There is no double glazing so you will get street noise but it's not right in the centre so it's not too bad. I accept that weekends & fine weather can make for more people on the streets. There is free parking in the rear. The breakfast was £9 for full cooked or £6 for continental, which was our choice. It was well presented & served efficiently in a light filled room with plenty of table space. We had an issue with no hot water one morning (apparently after the heating engineer had visited!!) & told Roela who was straight onto it & pleased we'd told her. It was all fixed by the time we got back later that day. We enjoyed our stay.

A lovely establishment with excellent staff in an excellent location. Easy walking distance from the high street, where there is a good choice for sustenance. Also well located for the priory and train station. Our twin room was at the front of the property, was nice and warm, as well as clean and very comfortable. The tea and coffee selection was also very good, catering for pretty much all tastes. Breakfast was superb. Lots of choice and plentiful. The eggs were perfect and the waffles amazing. The owners are a lively couple and very attentive to their customers needs.

Booked this for an overnight stay mainly because of a family function. Not the most modern Not the biggest bar I have ever seen. BUT it was great possibly the cleanest hotel and certainly the most friendly I have used for a long time the owners (husband and wife team) and ALL the staff first class normally their is a but the only thing WAS. Well sorry couldn’t fault anything and the breakfast is superb made with top quality food, and beautifully presented. Don’t expect the most modern but the place is bloody marvellous.
