Good hotel in the town centre. Staff friendly and welcoming and food good. The room was comfortable and here were a few different quality of rooms and some are a little tired. Car parking is a bit of an issue the car park is small.

One night stay, slightly indifferent reception, £10 to park when use of the closer and ample public car park cost £6! Room excellent and spotless and very good value, but overall uninspiring. We weren't attracted by the dining room so can't comment upon food.

This hotel is a lovely friendly place to hold an event. The staff are attentive, the venue well located and the food perfect. It’s an old hotel but don’t let this put you off. You win with the charm and character of the period. Highly...More

Dukes Head is a beautiful hotel. The room was beautiful, nice fixtures and furnishings. The floor was creaky but I put that down to the age of the building. The bed was medium firm with plenty of pillows. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as...More

At the Dukes Head they do have parking which is at the rear of the hotel but there are a limited number of spaces. Last time I used the parking facilities it was free to guests but you may need a code to exit once you depart.
