We have lunched and dined at congham hall many times over the last few years and it had become a reliably good place to go for good service and food. How disappointed and frustrated we were on our last 2 visits, once for lunch with friends and once with family and friends for dinner. The standards have not just slipped...

A very nice setting, nice welcoming, the room was very nice and clean. The food was ok. Over priced we would say. There was no hotel hospitality like porter to greet you, the beds not turned down, so no clean towels. Would we go back to this hotel, no.

I have had afternoon tea several times here and really enjoy it. Having previously sat in the two lounges we were taken straight through to the restaurant which was lovely. We were given the tea menu straight away, and table water was already on the table. The sandwiches were very fresh and didn't have that 'stale' taste which sometimes you...

One night DBB stay in garden room. Room spacious, beautifully appointed, full sized hairdryer, lovely bathroom products, garden terrace. Ample car parking. Friendly check in and shown around. All staff we encountered were very friendly & helpful. Spa was fully booked for treatments but very relaxing pool area, steam room, sauna & hot tub with a view of grounds. Dinner...

We were given this test for Christmas so off we went for our treat this afternoon. Lovely greeting from the receptionist and we made ourselves comfortable in the lounge...the tea menu we prompt and the order taken...we then waited and eventually the tea appeared...sandwiches on a plain white plate and the rest on a slate stand. Sandwiches OK...nothing special, scones...

Congham provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic few days away. Wonderfully set on 30 acres of land (some of which used to produce all manner of veggies/herbs/flowers), with attentive staff and luxurious rooms, you can totally relax and enjoy your surroundings. Locally, we were treated to a hearty walk across Roydon Common National Nature Reserve, which is right on...

Our room Chervil was well furnished with a nice big bed. Fresh milk was provided to got with Nespresso coffee (I am now a convert). Hot and cold running staff with consistently great attitude. We only ate breakfast as we were going out to dinner at the Hotels sister business (Three Horseshoes - just down the road) but could not...

Four of us ate a celebratory evening meal; we weren't staying overnight. The food, service, and ambience were all second-to-none, and a great time was had by all. We were greeted on arrival, had a choice of lounges with open fires for pre-dinner drinks, then ate a relaxed and excellent meal in the large restaurant. It wasn't too busy, but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled within the beautiful Norfolk countryside, Congham Hall is a privately owned Georgian manor house situated 20 minutes' drive from the sandy beaches of the North Norfolk coast. A variety of market towns, nature reserves and the Queen's Sandringham Estate are also within a short drive. Each individually designed bedroom is very spacious offering extremely comfortable king sized beds and picturesque views across the estate. The team of award winning chefs create dishes using a wide variety of vegetables and herbs from the estate served in the Orangery restaurant overlooking manicured lawns and glorious parkland. For something a little more informal, indulgent afternoon teas are served in the lounge next to the cosy log fire. Set within 30 acres of wonderful parkland and extensive gardens, Congham Hall also boasts a croquet lawn and tennis courts. Congham Hall's luxurious Secret Garden Spa is where you'll find a stunning 12 metre pool, sauna, steam room, bio-sauna as well as an outside hot tub.
