We decided to go to the Seaton Lane after a strong recommendation that it was amazing. The Interior is very nice clean and well presented.. We ordered the Chefs Burger, the standard burger and the Gammon. When the food arrived it looked bland Pale looking burger bun (not toasted as stated on the menu) Chips and a terrine of coleslaw.... We went for 1 night and stayed for 3. The exterior was clean and tidy which encouraged us to book in. The meals were reasonable and varied. The staff were very helpful and friendly, which made it more pleasant. It was also handy for all the places we had to go.

Took my mother for Sunday lunch. It's been a while since we visited, but were looking forward to our lunch as we have enjoyed our visits in the past. I ordered the pork Sunday lunch, while mam ordered the rib eye steak. The service was friendly and prompt. When my pork dinner arrived it was piled up on the plate... More

stayed at seaton lane inn last weekend for father in laws 90th birthday. Relatives from Scotland and Doncaster all stayed there and we were all delighted with the friendly staff and good service. Rooms were decorated to a high standard and room 1 was perfect for in laws as no steps to climb - both a bit unsteady on their... More

I always stay at the Seaton Lane Inn when I'm visiting Sunderland for work. The rooms are great and the food is lovely. The staff are really friendly too. It's fantastic value for money so I would highly recommend them.

I was running late but got a call from the hotel asking if I wanted them to keep me some food as I was going to miss last orders. After a discussion of what could be kept I arrived rather hassled to find a delicious curry awaiting me. It was then followed by one of the largest helpings of cheese... More

Took my 98 year old grandmother for a treat. Disabled access needs work as there is a door jam to get over which was a nuisance. Food was excellent and the service was friendly and personable. Dishes were reasonably price and we were made to feel welcome. A little quiet on a Thursday lunchtime, but my Granny was made up... More

We've been many times to Seaham but travelled straight to the Town Centre. Looking for somewhere new we were recommended to try this establishment. We were not disappointed. Food, service and surroundings all very pleasing. Good value for money and certainly would visit again. Don't know how we missed it first time round, but as we were leaving we noticed... More

A very comfortable and friendly place to stay. The bedroom was lovely and secure with a card entry system to get into the guest area and bedrooms. The visit was made even better due to the outstanding hospitality of Rebecca who seemed to be there all the time, morning, noon and night! Would definitely recommend it!

The pub/hotel is run by owners who head a talented team. Their purpose is to make your stay at the Seaton Lane Inn a memorable one – for all the right reasons. These include the friendliness of the staff, the affable type of clientele you meet in a country inn, a tempting and varied menu (try the seafood) and wide range of beers, including excellent cask conditioned ales served from the hand pump, wines and spirits. You can relax in the comfort of the lounge, which has Sky TV, or join the regulars in the adjacent bar.
