First class treatment. Wonderfully friendly hosts. Accommodation is first class, beautifully and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Great breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Chris for being so caring with my allergy to a certain product - so refreshing not to be made to feel a nuisance! Can't believe this is your first year in the business... More

Thank you Chrissie and Joe for a fantastic start to our Coast to Coast mountain bike ride. A lovely place , clean and excellent facilities. This was the best breakfast on our 6 day Coast to Coast ride. A lovely view out of the window to Nine Standards. Good secure bike storage. Also thanks to Joe for the entertainment both... More

Very comfortable and immaculate rooms, tastefully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches to ensure a very pleasant stay. Chrissy and Joe are wonderful hosts - very friendly, relaxed and welcoming. It really felt like a home from home - I was travelling alone on business and was immediately made to feel most welcome and part of the household. The full English... More

We stayed here before and when we finished our coast coast cycle ride. A lovely welcome awaited us both times. Chris and joe are very friendly and genuinely nice people. Nothing was too much trouble and the tea and cake on arrival was most enjoyable. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable rooms. Topped off with a lovely breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend... More

Upon arrival I was greeted by the very welcoming owners with tea and cake - just what i needed after a long day! The room was stunning - gorgeous view of the Nine Standards. I was suppose to stay in a local campsite but after walking 20 miles I really needed a more comfortable place to stay. I turned up at the door and was made to feel instantly welcomed. I was greeted with tea and homemade cake (which was delicious), the owner went out of her way to collect my stuff from the... More

I stayed here with my family. It was our favourite accommodation on the Coast 2 Coast Christine and Joe could not have been more welcoming. We were welcomed with home backed cake and hot tea in the back garden. The accommodation is of the highest standards and the most comfortable bed after a long hard walk. The attention to detail... From St Bees to Richmond, this was my very best stay. Beautifully renovated with attention to the needs of travelers. The showers are divine, the views gorgeous by day, with blackout shades for night, framed by lovely handmade curtains. Chrissie and Joe are truly and warmly welcoming and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and exceedingly thoughtfully arranged--from the elegant drinking... More

We have just had a fabulous overnight stay with Chrissie & Joe in their newly renovated, tastefully decorated B&B. We were greeted with tea & scones which was a lovely touch. Our room was spotless, with extremely comfortable beds & everything you could want. We were recommended a lovely local walk just on the doorstep which was thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast... More

After a 21 mile walk from Shap I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome in Joe and Chrissy's B&B. I was given a cup of tea and a homemade flapjack while my boots were put in a place to dry and my clothes were washed, I was offered a packed lunch for the day ahead (which was as... More
