Booked this room for a short weekend break to Fribourg, just looking for something cheap in town and this certainly met those requirements. The room itself is set up like a small apartment with a kitchenette and table and chairs. The bed was comfortable, especially since we were there during the Swiss winter - my only problem with it was...

This was our second visit to Hotel du Faucon and we were just as pleased this time. Rooms are comfortable, clean and cozy. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, the university, the train station and the old town. If you are looking for reasonably priced accommodations while in...

We spent two nights here. The room we had (a "simple") was minimalist and tiled but more than adequate. It featured a large bathroom (no bath). The room was quiet and spotlessly clean. Oddly enough it also contained an unused stove and full size fridge (both unused, though the fridge worked whereas the stove was not connected to the power...

Small, funky place in the middle of all the action in Fribourg. Room was basic, clean and good sized. Great shopping, restaurants and bars right outside your door. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I love this hotel. I've stayed there a few times already. It's small but very accommodating. Everyone is nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms are relatively spacious, very clean and comfortable. The tv is too small for my taste but it's no big deal. The hotel is located on one of the most important streets of Fribourg with lots of...

Very conventional basic rooms. Old building, rooms are clean, staff friendly. Breakfast in the restaurant next-door. Can be noisy at night because there are bars nearby and a cabaret downstairs. Good for 1 night or more, and if visiting around or for business.

At 10 minutes on foot from the railway station, this small hotel is situated in a small street in which cars cannot go. It is thus quite (some of the rooms overlook a courtyard). Rooms are well equipped with even a small kitchen if needed. Besides, the breakfast is varied and staff helpful. Ratio quality over price excellent!

I studied at the université de fribourg years ago and came back to visit. The hotel was centrally located and very clean. Very basic but the room itself was not bad. Cheap, clean and big. Never really saw any staff except at check in but we didn't really need them. No frills but good value.

It's hard when you have such a friendly and nice staff, excellent breakfast to write a three star review. Why? Because even with all the effort this hotel is not that comfortable for the most important - sleeping. Our son had a room on the street side. Yes there's no traffic but there is some noise. Our room on the...

“I had a single room, number 51, which was fine for me, would be OK but tight for two people. The maids showed me the double rooms on the floor while they were cleaning which were better. All have mini-kitchens. Creative layout results in trapezoidal shaped rooms, which some have commented on negatively. I liked it.”
