Really great hotel, very clean in all areas, already recognizable when entering the lobby! The lady receptionist at arrival was super kind and helpful with tipps also the waitress serving breakfast the next morning. Like a sunshine in the morning, very welcoming personality and perfect for the morning shift I would say:). But poor her that she was all by herself serving all incoming guests. She managed everything in a very fast, professional and heartly way but there should be a second person. We just stayed one night but on our return to Spain we stopped by again in the afternoon to have a drink since we had very good memories of the hotel. And here again the young waiter treated us very kindly...Thank you!

A very nice hotel on the entrance to the town. A 1 km walk and you are in the town centre. Rated 4 star - best prices were on the Hotels official site. Value for money 1st class. large spacious room with a a jaccuzi bath. The air con had to be turned to high, the temperature to 0 to get it to work, but it did. Lovely view from the rear rooms of istant mountains + nice balcony. The front view the ancient fort. Pleanty of parking. Nice outside terrace and also a + the cafe menu which can get you light sancks and drinks most of the day. BIG BONUS - the staff are lovely and friendly and really make you feel welcome. Extensive buffet breakfast if required

My room was 3rd floor East facing and oh what wonderful sunrises and mountain views. Unmissable really. The room had the usual facilities expected for 4 star; branded towels, fridge, safe, bidet etc. But the branded slippers were er... slippery in the wet (watch out). The Jacuzzi bath was worth the stay. The iron for loan at reception was just a travel iron with desktop board, surprisingly inadequate, and no appropriate desktop in my room so I ironed on floor level 🙄. If 'no hablo espanol' you'll need to brush up on it or Catalan to effectively communicate with the more menial staff. I've seen better free breakfast buffets though; the usual cold continental fare but less of it. Hot breakfasts are available at a price. By and large a great stopover.

The Emporda is a 20 minute walk to downtown Figueres. Our room was comfortable but a little stuffy. But we opened the door onto our balcony and the room stayed comfortable the rest of our three night stay. The place is very clean. The staff is friendly and professional. The El Motel five star restaurant on site. It has a cheesy name but is a first class restaurant. Wonderful food impeccable service.

My mother and I stayed one night at the hotel on a long drive south through France and Spain. The location is convenient about 1km from the Dali museum and the older part of town. The restaurant, with its traditional approach with waiters in white jackets and a carefully considered menu, was the top draw. The rooms could have used a little more touching up to merit the 4 star badge.
