Stayed 3 nights at the parador with family during summer high season. With its 30 rooms the parador remains a haven of peace even when the cafetaria is packed with day-trippers for lunch. As with most paradors, do not expect the latest in luxury and comfort but the location is absolutely unique.

This hotel (actually a government-run 'parador') is the only one within the boundaries of the El Teide national park. The location is absolutely stunning. You can view the peak of El Teide from the hotel restaurant and from the (not very big but pleasant) swimming pool. At night, wander outside and you can see the stars more clearly than you... More

My wide and I stayed for a night at the Parador. We are Tenerife residents, and this was a celebration. We got an inclusive rate of €160 for dinner, bed and breakfast which we considered extremely good value, considering the quality of the hotel and the service. Our room turned out to be a suite, not massive but extremely adequate.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed ourselves; the staff, the food, the room, the drive up here, the grounds.. Highly recommend Most people come here to do star gazing and the hotel has its own complimentary telescope that you can borrow for the night. They have a 5 star hotel with complimentary and amazing breakfast as well... More

Nicely located with great views. We stopped by when travelling through Teide. Had their tea and used WC. after we left and 1.5 into the ride we realized we had left a bag in WC, same time to drive back. Fortunately the staff found it and put away until we came, so it was safely retrieved. Thank you!

Stayed here because it was the only hotel near to the base of Mount Teide. It has good starting points to a couple of hiking trails and only 5 -10 minute walk the roques. Unfortunately, did NOT enjoy the restaurant food because of its rare cuisine which did not appeal to us and there were no other options. We dined... More

nybody thinking of staying at the ‘Parador’ hotel in the Mount Teide National Park (Tenerife)? DON’T DO IT!!!!. We stayed there for one nigh,t as it was my wife’s birthday. The setting for Spain’s highest hotel is unbelievable, unfortunately so was the service at the hotel. On arriving, the staff at reception seemed un-interested, preferring to talk amongst themselves. After... More

Well you're a captive audience. The views are spectacular, but the place you eat is expensive and you certainly wasn't going to get a smile or a serviette with your order, it's like a rough cafe in the mountains that lorry drivers frequent to get a bland coffee and use the loos, shame it has a lot of potential with... Viewing the stars from the foot of teidi has been on my bucket list for a long time but I could never have prepared myself for how truely astonishing it really is. Rated in the top 3 places to photograph the stars in the world! I spent a night in the parador with my boyfriend a couple of weeks before... More

We did not want a beach hotel so we chose the Parador de las Canada del Teide (pronounced tay-day or tay-ee-day sometimes). We were worried because due to snow at the end of Feb/beginning of March the Parador was inaccessible for three days. However when we drove up there on 6th March the roads were open and the Teide national... More
