This is a charming traditional colonial house built round a courtyard which has been glassed over to create a lovely breakfast room. Our room on the third floor was a little small but comfortable and with a nice spacious bathroom, I think the second floor rooms are better if a little dearer. On the plus side it opened out on to the roof terrace which had a marvellous view of Teide (cloud permitting) in one direction, and over the town to the sea in the other. Magical at night. The breakfasts are excellent: a choice of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, eggs done in a variety of ways, bacon or ham. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our only criticisms are that the wifi is very patchy but we did manage to find a corner on the landing with a couple of chairs right next to the router. Although the hotel advertises free parking on site (not reservable) it has only 3 spaces for 14 rooms so it is not always easy to get a slot. There is street parking too but few spaces. On one occasion we had to park overnight in the public car park about 10 minutes walk away. Excellent value.

The hotel is small, the rooms are large, with a coffee maker and complimentary bottles of water. It has a terrace/solarium at the top with good views. Very familiar and calm. It is very close to the gardens and the balcony house.
Thanks to Lucia for her sympathy, kindness and good advice.
We couldn't dine in the restaurant because it was closed those days. We will have to return! Very good breakfast.

Found this on Booking.com, and it was our first nights stay in Tenerife. While it is steeply uphill when coming from the bus station (take a taxi!), it is so convenient to the old part of the city which made it worthwhile . Although it had remote check-in and we arrived about an hour early, the delightful maid saw that we could access our room. The rooms are spacious and charming and have everything one could need. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is an attractive, old fashioned property. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout. Our room was a reasonable size & had the benefit of a large terrace, with a couple of sun loungers and a table & chairs. However, the rooms are in need of an upgrade. The bathroom looked unchanged from the 1970s & the carpet was very tired, although the bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast was very poor - a derisory buffet, plus some over-cooked eggs. However, we had dinner there and the food, while not cheap, was excellent, with good service as well

Charming, quiet, family-friendly hotel in the center of Orotava. The city was beautiful with all the Christmas decorations in the streets, squares and businesses. We were able to enjoy the food, the town hall nativity scene and walk through its streets

A beautiful room located on level 1 with a very beautiful individual terrace overlooking the city and the bell towers. Clean, WC separates from the SB with bathtub. Only downside, carpet on the floor.
Super well located, a charming welcome from José Simple but complete breakfast with on request omelette or bacon and eggs served by a charming lady too. No parking but the hotel staff will tell you about a free one 500m away.

I paid more for this hotel than for others who were in the same area waiting for something more...
It is a hotel without more, to spend a night if you pass through, if you have a wedding in the surroundings, etc.
The room was very clean but is a bit claustrophobic. Small, very low ceilings and smaller bathroom still.
Breakfast is not a big deal.
Quality/price is not adjusted.

Excellent service, great breakfast and unbeatable attention, we have been several times and we will repeat without a doubt.
It is in the center of Orotava, beautiful streets to walk. Some difficulty parking but this time we were very lucky.

As far as I can remember you had to go up stairs to them. They did have a lift to first floor though. I don't know about the actual rooms. If you telephone them they are helpful.
