Hotel's Favorite
Our first holiday for 2 years. We stayed 2 weeks and the whole experience was excellent from check in to check out. RIU Arecas staff are so welcoming and friendly. Following COVID rules and regulations was not a problem. Staff and guests must wear masks when inside the hotel and walking around the grounds. You have your temperature checked before entering the restaurant at breakfast and evening meal. There are hand sanitizer stations all around the hotel for guests and staff to use, especially useful inside the lifts. The cleanliness was five star as always with RIU but nice to see the sunbeds sanitised after each use and touch points, gates, railings etc being cleaned regularly. Our room 4045 had a large balcony with full sea and pool views, the room was spacious with large double bed, 2 comfy chairs and a table, excellent storage space including lots of clothes hangers in the double wardrobe. Full length mirror, several power points, small fridge, flat screen tv and a safe. The walk in shower was very powerful, I believe the bathroom had recently been renovated. The hairdryer was handy too. Our room was expertly cleaned every morning whilst we were at breakfast. Very efficient. The choice of food at both breakfast and evening meal was plentiful and excellent quality. RIU are using a one way entry/exit system and there are markings on the floor to help guests navigate safely around the food stations. The staff are always on hand to help and advise if needed. The hotel provides musical entertainment each evening in the outdoor stage/bar area. Comfy chairs and settees are well spaced out, with table service for drinks. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel and a couple of bars with friendly locals. The Titsa 467 bus stops at the top of the bank right outside the hotel, about 10 minutes ride into Las Americas and 20 minutes to Los Christianos. Ask at reception for a map and directions to the 7 day shop (about 15 minutes walk) to buy a bus card. The card costs 2 euro and you top up with credit. Then tap on and tap off each bus ride. Having the card means you get a discounted price per bus ride. The buses are very clean and have air con. After a wonderful holiday I would like to thank all the RIU staff but to name a few exceptional members of the team; Ivan, Veronica, Jesus, Ricardo, Angelica, Yudens, Linda, Patricia, Natalia, Weng and Joaquin. Thank you one and all….you are all stars. Also thanks to our fellow guests, everyone was compliant with the COVID rules, always respectful and kind. We hope to return again very soon to RIU.…

Happy and polite staff, always smiling. Had an issue with our safe, they couldn’t have done more to sort the problem out. They dealt with it promptly and quietly. Pool area very relaxing. Evening entertainment not their strongest selling point. But it was early in the season. Nice walks along the promenade. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed a week at this hotel in March 2023. We had a great relaxing holiday as it is an adult only hotel. We were impressed with some part of hotel and not so impressed with others! Staff are very friendly and helpful, hotel is very clean. Location is great nice bars and restaurants near by. Beaches near hotel are pretty good if you fancy going on the beach. Main hotel has two very good size pool and plenty of sun lounges. The infinity pool is part of their sister hotel which is only 5 mins walk away. This hotel only does half board and you have plenty to choose at breakfast and dinner time, drinks are reasonable. The reason I haven’t given them four star is because of their rooms although it was very comfortable and they have tea/coffee facilities and a mini fridge which you found empty! There was no welcome bottle of water which I found poor especially if you arrive late so you have to call reception and order your drinks then they deliver although in the bathroom all they provide are hand soap and hair and body wash no shower cap, conditioner etc and the quality of their towel wasn’t four star either. However, when I got over this few things and accepted it for what it was managed to have a good holiday.…

This is our third visit to this hotel. The weather was beautiful which made our stay perfect. The hotel is spotlessly clean, there are three good swimming pools, the buffet food is very good if a little busy. There is a bookable Spanish restaurant, which is more intimate. All the staff are very pleasant and cheerful from the receptionists to the bar staff to the waiters and waitresses and the cleaners. There is no daytime entertainment so would not suit anyone that likes things going on. The evening entertainment is hit and miss with some very good acts and some not so good. My only complaint would be that the evening entertainment did not seem to run as advertised. There was entertainment when we were told there was none and it generally finished later than advertised, so a little confusing. The situation is good if you don’t like to be right amongst all the mayhem up the coast. We shall return.…

Excellent hotel, everything kept extremely clean. We had a pool view room on the 4th floor which was perfect. The reason for only giving 4 stars as although there was nothing wrong with the food, the quality and selection we found was not as good as the Guayamina and no where near as superb food on offer at an Iberostar hotel last year. However, this would not stop us returning to this hotel. The dinner we had in the Spanish restaurant was 1st class, however you need to be aware the main course is only a choice of steak, a pork dish and a fish dish. For those with mobility issues be aware, as if you go out of the front on the hotel, the incline is quite long to get back up from the front promenade and to get from the back of the hotel there are many quite steep steps. The area in Adeje is beautiful, quieter than the other end, but still some lovely little cafes and bars. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. We also found the bar prices very reasonable for a hotel, although of course you can get cheaper at the local bars. Our favourite was Tiggies, just across the road from the hotel entrance.…
