Very nice hotel with good desk staff. Rooms in photos of hotel are much larger than the 3 rooms our party had. Rooms clean. Not much view from hotel room. Across street from ferry terminal and the castle and close to several restaurants. Parking available a few blocks away.

Quite basic in function - but very very clean, a little quiet BUT right in the heart of town and close to night-time action. A big plus point is the rooms are very cool - this being helped by the mighty thick walls & arched ceilings in this 800 year old plus structure - keeping the hot summer air away... More

Stayed 2 nights and we were very happy. Clean rooms with plenty of space (not sure what those who said the rooms were small were seeing - maybe single rooms?). Nice showers. Friendly staff. Location is perfect! So close to the port and right on the edge of the fascinating old town - a great place to wander and get... More

Friends and I stayed at the Alameda the night before a trip to Tangier. Location couldn't be better as it is just across the street from the ferry port. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were well appointed and very clean. I mistaking lay left an electrical outlet converter in my room and when we returned... More

What I most enjoy about this place is its location... close to the Ferries to Morocco and close to good eating places. The Hostal itself is super. The front desk is helpful, the rooms are really very nice and comfortable. Been staying here about 7 or so years now and won't change. Views vary... as everywhere.

Disappointing service, disappointing room. I do not recommend you not even to go for a coffee in this place. The room smells very bad. Thank God there was a couple of really nice bars n clubs, Soul Cafe & La Ruina club. I can almost say that we spend all our vacation at those two places thank god they saved... More

We selected the hotel because reviews said it was close to the ferry for Tangier and because there was plenty of free parking. Well, while there is lots of free parking on the side streets, no free places were to be found (mid-day or evening). There was paid parking a few blocks away. The room was fine...the usual smallish Spanish... More

This hotel is located immediately across the street from the ferry boat docks that service the crossing to Tangier, Morocco. You can park a car free on the side streets. If you are going to Tangier for a day trip, just walk across the street and onto the ferry. Really easy. The hotel itself is in two buildings. The reception... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, using the hotel as a launching site to take the ferry to Morocco for a day trip. We had a room that overlooked the dock area and included a small sitting area in a bay window where we could open the windows and watch all the local action. The bed/linens were comfortable, and the bathroom... More

The hostal is perfectly located right next to the port, as well as near the main streets, the beach, and the castle. The room itself was very nice, the bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean and decorated in typical Andalusian style. The shower was nice and warm and had good water pressure. They have a restaurant right next... More
