Detailed Reviews
I normally approach any sort of camping with dread, I was really worried about the Yurts because it was really hot. What a fool I was, they were fantastic. They were spacious, nicely decorated and cool. We had breakfast next to the shared kitchen were we met a number of friendly people. Our hosts were generous with their time and really welcoming. The yurt camp was in an isolated area of beauty. There was a beach which was almost empty nearby and the town was walkable if you were feeling energetic.
We had a brilliant time in Tarifa eating, drinking, swimming and whale watching.
The whole experience was brilliant and so good that we intend to break a rule and return.

I can't recommend this enough. Denny and Saira's place was absolutely beautiful and idyllic. The yurts are specially designed by them and are lovely. Denny and Saira went out of their way to look after us and help us.
I would say that it is worth thinking about how to get in to town and back and the evenings. It is about half an hour to walk and the track is a bit bumpy, so sometimes the taxis don't want to go down the track to the house. We hired bikes and the ride into town was easy and really enjoyable.
Denny and Saira also have a restaurant in town which was lovely. The food is reasonable and really tasty. It was one of the best holidays I have had and I would attribute that mostly to the fact that the place was so lovely.

+1
Me and my boyfriend stayed in the Siroco yurt for just one night and we absolutely loved it! The perfect little 'village' that Saira and Denny have created is a wonderful little paradise which has everything you need.
The yurt is spacey and the kitchen and patio are great! There's even a BBQ! We were amazed by the lovely shower. All this is running on a solar system. If you want to use a hairdryer you need to ask first. Coming here by car is a must.
Last but not least: the animals! Horses, dogs, cats and even a donkey are walking around the premises, they were great fun as well!!

I was a bit apprehensive when we booked as we are not really campers and I was unsure about sharing a bathroom. We booked because the place looked interesting as did the eco ethos and it was really good value.
The site is beautiful and each yurt has its own area to sit in which I really liked. The yurts are large, really comfortable and very well serviced. They have an electric supply and electric lighting. The large double bed was clean and really comfortable in fact the yurt was amazing. I had wondered if it would be really hot inside but it was really well ventilated particularly with the Tarifa winds.
There is an element of sharing. The two bathrooms are shared with the three yurts and the kitchen dinning area is also shared. We were fortunate that the couples we shared with were considerate and friendly. I will start with the kitchen: It was large, clean and really well stocked with everything you need. It is joined to a beautiful seating / dinning area and comes with a dedicated black cat and sometimes Bob the dog.
The bathrooms are also clean and well serviced with plenty of hot water. I would have preferred that there was a bathroom per yurt but it didnāt spoil the stay for me to share.
Saira and Denny were charming hosts and have done a fantastic job in providing a high quality site whilst maintaining their dedication to looking after the environment. I happily joined in with recycling and saving water and energy without feeling pressured into doing so.
The site is down a fairly long unmade road and is a couple of kilometers out of Tarifa. This was no issue to me, in fact it was a positive but might be an issue if you have no transport or want to be right in the town.
All in all we had a fantastic stay which included a superb takeaway from Sairaās restaurant, and we will return in the future.

Loved this spot. The yurts were very large and well appointed. There is a kitchen on site with a refrigerator and stove and storage space for food as well as utensils and dinnerware. Next to the kitchen hut is a covered patio for eating and just relaxing after a day of exploring. There are two shared bathrooms that are large with walk in showers that are hot and inviting after a long day.
If you are adventurous and looking for something out of the ordinary this is for you. If you are looking for luxury you probably want to look someplace else. It is beautiful and comfortable, and relaxing.

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the yurts for 4 nights recently. These are in the most beautiful setting with great gardens and furnishings in the yurts themselves. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing break with a rural feel yet only 5 minute drive from town.

The yurts are set in rolling green hills near Tarifa, great for coastal wallks or taking it easy with a good book. The yurts and facilties are beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. They are run by a friendly family and we loved being greeted by Bob the dog in the mornings. Thanks for the great stay and we hope to return. Nic and Al x

My husband and I and our two boys aged 8 and 15 had a wonderful relaxing time at Yurts Tarifa. Saira and Denny are lovely, friendly and helpful people with great attention to those little details that make a good holiday great.
We were able to enjoy the lovely garden with sun terrace to read and chat while the boys enjoyed the internet access in the yurt. We also enjoyed exploring old town Tarifa on foot from the yurt and a delicious meal at Saira's little restaurant. The kitchen is well equipped which enabled us to eat very well and we loved the delicious and healthy breakfast hamper brought to the yurt every morning. I also really appreciated being able to do several loads of clothes washing during the week (the first in a three week multi-centre holiday).
The yurt itself was spacious, beautiful and comfortable, even for four of us. There is something special about the round space. I came prepared with earplugs as I am a light sleeper, but didn't need them at all.
We had a lovely week in the yurt and in fact my 15 year old said it was his favourite part of the whole holiday!

Thank you to Sara and Denny for another wonderful stay. The improvements around the yurts are excellent - lovely sun terrace with shade. Also beautiful plants which have matured giving each yurt a sense of privacy. The yurts themselves are large, plenty of room and nicely furnished. A review on here doesn't really do this special place much justice - it is relaxing and secluded. Sara's breakfasts are great too.
