Travelers' Choice
Hotel Tarifa Lances is characterized by a modern design. Actually, it has a captivating personality, as we find typical Andalusian elements in its interior such as handmade pieces of art. The hotel features 100 rooms, as well as a restaurant-buffet and a restaurant à la carte, several pools and wide garden areas. The exclusive area only for adults is equipped with Balinese beds and sunbeds, so that you can enjoy even more your sunny days, if possible. Furthermore, in the superior terrace you will find the Pura Vida Terrace, where you can enjoy a delicious cocktail or a tasty coffee while admiring the breathtaking views over Tarifa, Morocco, the Strait of Gibraltar and Lances Beach. Also, this space offers the possibility of celebrating any kind of event, like dinners, weddings and shows. THE TERRACE: ONLY OPEN IN THE SUMMER SEASON (Check timetables at reception)

Really lovely hotel, friendly staff and nice and clean everywhere. The breakfast was first class too! Dinner was nice enough, two choices for each of the 4 courses and saves you walking anywhere. However if you wanted more nightlife then the main old town is the place to go.

We decided in last minute to do a get away in Tarifa. Last minute means not easy to get a hotel room. But we got a lovely room at Tarifa Lances. Nice balcony with view to the ground floor pool and the beach. The hotel also has a roof top bar with a swimming pool. And also an indoor pool. We only tried the two outdoor. The room had a large bed and the bathroom was perfect. Great shower. The breakfast buffet is awesome. The lady making egg specialities is awesome. We love her. In generel the staff is smiling and very attending. The service are great. The location is perfect if you come in car. And you can park in the basement. You have to walk 20 minuts to the old town with all the restaurants. But Its a nice walk. We will come back. Thank you for having us

Nice interior in the rooms and great beds! Well working AC and blackout curtains. Good cleaning. Friendly staff. Great quiet location. Nice pool area with lush vegetation. Sun beds with possibility to find shade from the strong sun. We found lot’s of good cafes & restaurant close by. Might seam pricy in Spain, but this is a real 4-star hotel and it’s wort the price of 200 € per night.

My husband and I have loved the experience staying 2 weeks in Hotel Los Lances Tarifa. Our room was spacious, big comfy bed, very generous terrace overlooking the garden/pool area and cleaned to perfection daily. The staff was very caring, special mention to Manuel at the reception desk and the location was spot on, near the beach but not in the heart of the old town where it can be very overcrowded especially in high season. I had yoga classes almost daily at the top floor of the hotel and they even have a roof terrace with a bar and infinity pool with views of the coast. This hotel is a top hotel with ample space that deserves a try!

We stayed at the Hotel Tarifa Lances for 2-nights in early June (€131 night). The hotel, modern, resort-like & attracting a generally young crowd, was located in a new area with apartments & strip-malls located a few blocks from the beach and about 1.5 km from the old town. Our 3d floor superior sea-view room was spacious, modern, trendy, with a huge patio with 2 loungers, a rack for drying clothes, and was one of the few with unobstructed views of the beach along the side street (the others were obstructed by the neighbouring apartments). With light gray laminate floors, an open floor plan, and sparse furnishings (king bed with side tables, funky wood desk with tiger-skin chair, small couch that folded into a bed, luggage rack, closet with safe & refrigerator), the room had a huge sense of space. The bathroom was large with plenty of room on the vanity, but the shower, the rooms signature feature, was a bit odd in that it had glass walls onto the bedroom as well as the bathroom side – okay for a couple, but you would want to be very close friends with anyone using the hide-a-bed! The other quirky aspects were the lights – all weird seashells, and the headboard, a strange network of tree branches. The room had a large (60 inch?) TV with several English channels. There were 3 pools, a main pool that was large with many loungers, a small wading pool above the main pool with lounging beds on little islands, and a roof-top infinity pool open only after 4 pm on weekends. We were disappointed with the latter because it was simply a bar, with no loungers or anything else to encourage its use as a pool. Breakfast was good, with a full selection of hot food as well as fruit, cold cuts, pastries, and a selection of ground coffees. The Lances was located on the outskirts of town, a bit too far for a comfortable walk (half hour to old town). Driving wasn't a problem because Tarifa seems to have plenty of parking right to the edge of old town. There were no real restaurants near the hotel, but there was a very good supermarket right across the street. There was plenty of free parking on all of the roads around the hotel, so don't pay the €10 to park at the hotel. In Tarifa, there seems to be a choice between staying at a hotel in old town, with the old world atmosphere, or in the outskirts with readily available parking. We picked the latter and were quite happy with out choice.

Stayed here for one night on a recent trip to Spain, when we arrived we were checked in quickly and advised there is plenty of free on street parking around the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable and very quiet. The shower was good, and there was plenty of places to hang things. We had lunch in the outdoor dining area and the food was very good. The pool area was lovely. The Hotel is in a good location, a short walk from the old town. We had breakfast the next morning and there was plenty of choice.

Hotel and room were beautiful! Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. It is a pity the hotel is located a bit far from old town but it is still walkable distance, though. Nice and kind reception. Would stay there again.
