Decided to book into the IPV during the hottest weekend in August for 4 nights, and enjoyed it so much we extended to 3 weeks! Due to Covid a lot of the hotel facilities were closed, but we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, especially the dinner. We booked for half board, and as there were so few guests in the hotel we were permitted to eat in the al fresco restaurant on ‘a la carte’ basis. Wonderful food including fabulous paella (try the squid ink and the lobster versions, absolutely delicious), fillet steaks, beautiful salads. At lunch the restaurant had an espeto bbq boat and served up fresh sardines and sea bream, a real taste of Andalucía. Our rooms were very comfortable, ground floor, with patio doors straight out onto the pool terrace. Really powerful showers with unlimited hot water, comfortable beds, plenty of storage and very spacious. No turn down as this is a 4* superior, but certain aspects of the hotel were definitely 5*, which leads me to the staff... Fantastic!! All the staff were so friendly and attentive and worked so hard to please. Special mention to Jacqueline in the front office, so professional and accommodating it was down to her we kept extending! All the waiters who work in the restaurant including Jacobo and Francisco, really great service from them all even at times where they were pushed at weekends. Lovely cleaners, and grounds people, and special mention to the lifeguards who were super friendly, thanks Jeffery. The hotel is directly situated on the A7 road, but when you are in the hotel and around the pool you are not bothered by traffic noise at all. You can literally step out of the gate by the pool and you are on the promenade and beach. Sunbeds are free at the pool, but on the beach they are privately run and cost 5 euros per person per day. The castle is next door, great views from there, and the promenade runs for miles all the way to the other end of Fuengirola. It takes about 10-15 minutes walk on the promenade to get to the central action of fuengirola. The hotel is in a great spot and the beach is lovely, easy swimming. To sum it up this is a brilliant 4* property with 5* aspects, and the food was wonderful. Forgot to mention great breakfast selection with hot and cold selection, juices, fruit etc. We will return.…
Great location for a relaxing weekend the place is realy clean. Receptionist very frienld and polite. Although covid19 rules are in place within the hotel its still an enjoyable get away. The food was really nice especially the pool resturant. The main pool is 10 meters away from the beach Shops and restaurants walking distance I recommend to anyone
Stayed here for seven nights earlier this month. We had a sea view room which was spacious and very clean. No minibar due to the current situation but a fridge proved very useful. On a half board basis dinner was a la Carte with a varied choice of dishes, the paella was particularly good. Also, as a Coeliac, gluten free was well catered for. I would particularly like to mention how well this hotel handling Covid procedures. Cleaning is constant, hand gel is provided everywhere, hand pad sanitiser at every lift entrance and staff fully aware. All staff were absolutely brilliant and although very difficult for them to work under current circumstances, nothing was too much trouble and they should be commended.
Lovely one night stay in February 2020. Great room and bathroom, balcony overlooking the Med, good parking facilities. Enjoyed some food and a drink at La Taurina (the bar in the hotel), then relaxed in the lobby bar listening to the piano player - really nice! Hotel was quiet, even though there was a conference taking place, and we had a great sleep in comfortable bed. Great shower. Fabulous buffet breakfast with everything you could want or imagine. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed two nights at the hotel bed and breakfast. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff were all very friendly. We had emailed beforehand to ask for a low room as we had a wheelchair and we were glad as we were given room 4005 which is on the ground floor and opens out onto the outside pool. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were really comfy too. The bathroom was really big and the shower had a seat in it which helped with showering. Also, the toiletries and other bits provided in the bathroom are a special touch. The breakfast was good, a large selection of cold and warm foods. We usually sat out on the terrace which was lovely in the morning. We would definitely stay here again of we were in the area. Couldn’t fault the hotel at all!
