Just back from a 6 day stay here with hubby. We stayed previously at Fuengirola Beach apart hotel but no availability so chose Myramar as we like the fact that it’s close to the shopping centre but far enough out of town to be peaceful. Good points- *Nice size apartments. *Big balcony with two sets of sliding doors. One from bedroom and other from living room/kitchenette. *Two good powerful showers- one over bath and the other as a shower cubicle. *Plenty of hot water. *Nice pool area. *pleasant staff *Nice and clean with lovely pool area. *Handy vending machines for late night snacks *Good cheap bus route outside hotel *Great shopping centre next door with brilliant huge supermarket. Primark, H&M etc etc as well as some great food halls and tapas. *Next to Fuengirola Skate Park which does some nice good value food. Not so good points- *food was cold. We ate breakfast here on two mornings. Food was cold. I used the microwave for mine but hubby didn’t bother. *The toaster wasn’t set right so even after putting bread in twice, it still wasn’t toasted right. If you left the toaster for a moment the toaster shot put and landed on the floor. Please take note managers* it might be an idea to set the toaster machine in a bigger table which avoids this problem? *There was NO ENTERTAINMENT that we were aware of. I would think May is more ‘in season’ than say, March or April but no entertainment. If guests are paying to stay at a hotel this time of year then they are on holiday and would like entertainment- no? There was NO info in the hotel about where to get a bus, local information, about hotel facilities like the gym/sauna/pool/bar/food etc. Nothing. An information book might have helped or, if there was one, (which we didn’t see) it would have been great if it had been pointed out to us on arrival. *the toilet roll holder was on the wall behind the toilet, low down and right next to the shower. When the shower was used it sprayed past the shower curtain and onto the wall wetting the toilet roll. Not a huge problem but badly thought out and maybe something for management to be rethinking in terms of placement? *The floor flooded several times as the shower head in the shower cubicle was positioned out too far and the water very powerful. We ended up using the shower in the bath as a result of the flooded floor. *Toaster was broken and it took 2 hours to replace it. 3 phone calls to reception. *BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT- NO AIRCON! Although it is May now we were totally surprised to see aircon in the room which didn’t work. I asked if it was broken and the man in reception said “it’s not time yet… Maybe June.” Surely management knows a lot of tourists visit from cooler climates and find the temperatures in Spain hot at the best of times, never mind in May when it is approaching Summer. For this reason alone I would not return.…
Lovely hotel, super, basic apartment and friendly, helpful staff. Beach a little too far to walk but taxi can be booked at reception and arrived very quickly. Lovely surroundings, nice pool and seems very child friendly too. Only complaint is that we stayed half board but the food is awful. Other than that, great holiday!!
Stayed with husband daughter grandson, first room given at back of hotel outside the padel courts thus wasn’t for us too noisy and crowds of people playing asked to be moved 2 days in and they did straight away no fuss. Hotel spotless rooms cleaned daily. Poolside open at 10 by the life guards which they man all day very safe. Food served around the pool reasonably cheap drinks also ok. Restaurant absolutely worth every penny so give it a try. Shops about 7 minutes walk there also is a Lidl if you turn right out of hotel then walk down the steps to the reservoir and over the bridge easy to find. Children club is brilliant it’s active a couple of times a day so look on entertainment board.
Easter week spent here. Room dated Could do with the cleaner getting under beds, into corners and around door handles and vents for dust especially with covid would not have expected dust around top of door handles as all touch points should be getting sanitised properly. Location is good massive shopping centre 2 mins from hotel. Good 15 minutes walk to front for restaurants, bars and beach. 20 mins transfer in taxi from airport. Staff all nice and welcoming. Would return if we got a good enough price:
Very good for family holiday ....Very nice place to stay. Shopping centre right next door. Spotless clean. Plenty for the kids to do. And walking distance to the beach .. skate park close by and a very good all you can eat too. Staff friendly aswell. Cannot fault this place and have been here quite a lot
Pool opens 10.30. Gym didnt open. Kids club didnt open. Shelves and doors on wardrobes were off. Break your back to move them. Reported nicely to rude man on reception. Nothing done. Not a great location. Some reception staff very short and rude. NO MATTER HOW NICE YOU SPEAK TO CERTAIN STAFF. Otherwise its grand its just not for me the towels and rooms were changed and cleaned very regularly and the bar was okay. Not my type of food but okay. Yes sorry, not for me again.
We had a 10 day stay at Myramar Hotel, myself my husband and son (10). Everything went smoothly, we were nervous of flying out because of covid but in actual fact felt safer than in the U.K. The hotel had hand sanitizer readily available the hotel was thoroughly cleaned including our room. The pool area was very safe, lifeguards sanitising sun beds if they had been used ready for next person to use. It’s wasn’t overly busy so made it easy to socially distance. There was no entertainment because of the covid situation but we enjoyed walking out at night to eat out. There’s a shopping centre opposite the hotel with plenty of shops to browse round. And a huge supermarket that is reasonably priced too. Also a Lidl very close by so we could by essentials as we were self catering. A kettle, toaster, microwave and induction hob, along with a fridge made it very easy to keep us fed and watered during the day. The balcony for our room was plenty big enough with a view looking over the pool area. We watched the sunrise from our balcony a couple of times when we were up early. Thankyou to all the staff at Myramar, keep up the good work. And stay safe.…
Brilliant hotel stayed here last July for 10 days .very friendly staff good entertainment lovely clean rooms.great for all ages.look forward to returning in 2021 due to covid we had to cancel this year see you next year ☀️🥳
The hotel was situated in a quieter part of town, just a 10 minute walk to the beach, even closer to the mall with Carafoes and lots of fast food outlets wiht plenty od shops to wonder round, the centre of town is a 15 minute bus ride and a very convient stop by the hotel, The outdoor pools where not in use at the time of year of our visit, the facilities where good and the rooms excellent will be going back as soon as we can.
We have just returned after staying here for a week.. myself & 2 young adults. On arrival we checked in for our 1 bed apartment to be told we had been upgraded to a 2 bed free of charge. We were very grateful. The apartment although very basic was very spacious indeed, however what puzzled us was that our " balcony" was directly out of one of the bedrooms.. not the living area which seemed odd. Not much privacy. We stayed in block 2 which had beautiful views of the mountains - but also the motorway and the large shopping centre nextdoor. ( we can say there was constant busy traffic noise) also our balcony never got any sun which would have been nice as it was only Feb. Although the hotel was relatively quiet, by the end of the week we were fed up of hearing chairs scraped across the floor from other guests! This woke us up early every morning. The positives were - very comfortable beds, all staff pleasant & friendly, & the place was spotless & looked very inviting. We didnt use any of the amenities as the outdoor pool was closed & to use the indoor pool eveyone needs to purchase a swimming cap so we didnt bother. My teens wanted to use the on site gym but was extra so we didnt use that either. As for the catering here there was a bar/restaurant located in out block which we were looking forward to popping down for a breakfast - but after viewing the menu we didnt use as was very limited & more focussed on pizza burgers & swordfish. I only used the bar once & at 5€ for a bottle of cider seemed very expensive ! There is a huge carrefour store across the road from the hotel which sells literally anything you could need for a self catering holiday - which we visited several times & the kids enjoyed the kfc & burger king. To go into the main town of Fuengirola is around a 35 minute walk along the river. It is a nice walk but got tiring throughout the week & we ended up using taxis. Here we found lots of lovely eateries for our full english breakfasts at less than €4! The kids also used the McDs located on the main road. There are loads of beautiful restaurants here.. very reasonable prices too! The nightlife was ok (probably because out of season?) The weather during our stay was fabulous- many a day spent on the lovely beaches here! ( there are the usual influx of "lucky lucky" men who constantly interrupt you to try for a sale) whether your sunbathing/ in a conversation or eating a meal, during one day/ night we were actually accosted by them 24 times! Quite ridiculous really. All in all.. we had a decent week away with fab weather but would we stay here again ? No dont think we would.…
