We don't normally go on package holidays but as we'd not been able to go to Spain for nearly two years, we decided to book this hotel through Jet2 Holidays. We went the first two weeks of November for a price that was almost as cheap as staying at home. We'd read some of the negative reviews of the hotel, so weren't expecting luxury, but just wanted to get some sunshine and we weren't disappointed. Yes, the hotel is a bit dated, the soundproofing is bad and the outdoor pool was shut. However on the positive side, we found the staff friendly, the building was kept clean and the food in the restaurant was more than adequate. Yes, at times the food could have been warmer, but at dinner there was always a fish dish, two meat dishes and a range of other items, so you didn't go hungry. The same was true of breakfast, with plenty of hot and cold options, not always the best of quality but more than adequate to set you up for the day. The hotel caters for groups of mainly Spanish pensioners, which was preferable to being surrounded by English louts. It got busy at weekends with an influx of younger guests and the entertainment in the hotel was geared accordingly. We found the drinks prices in the hotel to be very reasonable, although the red wine on tap at dinner wasn't very nice. The beach is just a short walk away, with many bars and restaurants in either direction along the promenade. The train station is also very close, just up the road from the supermarket opposite the hotel entrance, so getting in to Malaga or Fuengirola is really easy, if you didn't fancy the 40 minute walk to the latter. We requested and were given a room on a high floor so we could take in the last of the sun in the evening. All in all the hotel was fine for us as a base to explore the deserted beaches and beautiful little towns and villages in the area. We've all been through a difficult time so it was nice to finally get away, and the staff at the hotel deserve praise for making our stay a memorable one. If you are the sort that has to take photos of cracks in the tiles, moan about the size of the TV and the absence of tea making facilities in the room, this hotel is not for you, but if you accept it for what it is, you'll have a great value holiday. Just give it a try!

I am currently staying here and have stayed here before on an all inclusive basis. The hotel rooms are very dated and you can hear almost everything that anyone is doing in all the rooms around you but how much time do you spend in your room?? There is plenty of space in them for two but I wouldn't like to have anymore. The bath towels are quite small, the hand soap smells horrible!! and every time you have a shower you can not help but flood the bathroom as the screen is small and does not prevent the water from running down the side of the bath!! There is no air con on at this time of year and my room was at the very minimum 22degrees with the door open at night! NOW having said all that, the beds are comfy, their are plenty of lights, their were 3 electric sockets in the bedroom and two in the bathroom, free very good internet and it is very very clean. The outside pool is closed at this time of year but you can use the inside one of you want to go but you must wear a swim cap whilst in there, if you haven't got one, you can buy one for 1.50 euros. The beach is only 5 minutes away if you prefer to swim and sunbathe there. The restaurant is light and airy, plenty of choice, great salad bar, loads of fruit and breads. There is no security here, the back gate is left open all day, I was the unfortunate victim of having my money taken whilst sunbathing

Excellent hotel, staff were really nice and the food is amazing lots of choice good for vegetarians too. Location was good . We found the rooms to be very dated and the we felt like we were sharing our bathroom with the next room it was so noisy .. but would return because everything else was great including the free parking directly opposite the hotel

The hotel on the hill is very tired. Saw maintenance men around but doing very little to maintain the cracks in the tiles on the ground or basic health and safety issues, trip hazards etc. The bar staff on the whole were fine but could do with smiling more, after all, aren’t they paid to make your holiday a great experience. Don’t expect to get a hot drink before 8am, no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and you’re not allowed in the restaurant to make one before 8am. You’re made to feel like a criminal. Also don’t bother asking for a bottle of water to travel to the airport with, they won’t give you one. Entertainment is boring and repetitive. Infection control in a pandemic is a joke, not expect a well disinfected table and chairs in the dining room or on the terrace. We were all inclusive and are out almost every night. All in all a pretty crap experience.

I have stayed at this hotel for the past two Summers amd will probably go again this year. Positives: It is very easy to get here with the train from the airport. The train station is no more than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is very close to the beach and there is a mini-market across the road from the hotel. The rooms were cleaned well every day and I found the reception helpful with any queries or requests for assistance. Negatives: There is definitely a problem with sound proofing between the rooms and you are at the mercy of who you have in the room beside you. If there is arguing or crying children, you're going to hear it all unfortunately. We had a nice view the first year but last year our room looked straight out on to a block of apartments across from us which was disappointing. I'll know next time to request a better view. The indoor pool is not heated from May to October which is disappointing as young children can find the outdoor pool too cold at times. Overall the hotel is good value and has everything we want (easy to get to, near the beach, pools, WiFi, clean, balcony) so we'll be back again this Summer.
