The acclimatised external pool was not aclimitized at all!! It was freezing cold and impossible to swim in. We complained and they said it was just due to the weather! DO NOT EXPECT TO USE THE ACCLIMATISED POOL OUT OF SEASON! There were no rooms with bathtubs in the whole hotel and the shower head was cheap, small and dissapointing. The internet in the room kept breaking, you could not watch anything without constant buffering/loading. The area around the hotel is very dark and feels dangerous. A good 20 minute walk to the central marina area.

This hotel should be a whole lot better in the service they give. Please lets not blame covid for this. I will not labour on the points other guests have stated in reviews. Cold food served in the buffet restaurant. Al A Carte restaurant being closed etc. Basically the hotel is very nice and in a good location. Think it has two towers. Not sure if any of the other buildings close are part of the hotel. One tower has a clear sea view. The other has an obstructed sea view. We had a nice room, 815, but in the tower with the obstructed sea view. The room was kept very clean by the house keeping staff. I felt safe with the hotels covid policies during my stay. Unfortunately the staff member who did the mini bar thought in was ok to enter the room first before knocking and waiting for the guest to answer. Can't understand why the bigger main pool is closed between October and April. When the sun came out I would say there were up to 50 people around the pool at one time. All we had was a very small pool to swim in. I noticed during my stay there were a lot of complaints about how cold it was, although it was meant to be heated. You had to go to reception to get towels for the pool and they made you sign a form as a deposit for them. To use the gym you again had to go to reception to get a key before you could enter the gym. They had a special dinner on new years eve. Apparently we were supposed to have been informed of this at check in and given a band to be allowed in. This did not happen and if we had not realised on the day, we would have turned up for dinner that night as normal. As it was, when we did turn up we were asked why we weren't wearing our bands, which we had not been given. When asked at check out how was our stay, we relayed these points only to be met with raised eyebrows. We were honest in our opinion of our stay and the hotel. Don't ask the question if you don't want the answers you expect. Afraid I will not stay at this hotel again, mainly due to the food served being cold.

One week in early December. First visit to Fuengirola. Nice friendly staff with perfect English spoken. Junior suite room. Surprised to find room in the North Tower, was expecting the other side but I believe this is closed in the low season. Room very clean and comfortable, nice to have the extra room of the suite along with the frontal sea view that only the suites have.. The whole Hotel is very clean and well presented. Being at the front of the hotel the suite rooms have direct sunlight most of the day which is nice for sitting out on the balcony, but does mean that the room gets very warm between 10am and around 3pm. With no air conditioning available in the Hotel at this time of year, the room temperature has to be managed using a combination of keeping the blackout curtains closed and keeping both patio doors open. As we were out and about for most of the day this was not a problem and meant that the room was comfortable on return in the afternoon. Huge and very comfortable bed with memory foam topper, twin sinks and walk in shower giving good bathroom facilities. We had bed and breakfast although we did enjoy one evening meal in the restaurant which was OK but not special. One of the few criticisms that I have is that the hot section of the breakfast selection is of poor quality, and that the coffee machines do not provide a decent cup of coffee. There is a good selection of "continental" breakfast items however. The "proper" coffee served in the bar is to die for !!! Overall an enjoyable if not remarkable stay, this could easily be improved with a little more attention to detail in the restaurant, but good value for money on the Black Friday deal. Good covid protocols throughout.
