We always find this Parador magical. You travel for what seems miles in the middle of nowhere, and the Parador appears in the distance in the middle of the forest. Because it is so remote, it is best to arrange to eat there (the town is a long way back and you would be returning in the dark - remembering...

You will be enchanted by the drive up to this parador - winding forest roads (watch out for logging trucks) and the odd deer will leap out to add to the fantastic views. The parador itself is welcoming interesting and has amazing views. Leaving East along the national park road will add to your memorable stay.

We were lucky enough to get one of the suites for the first 2 days of our stay. Very roomy, with a choice of sitting areas, own door to the gardens, and one window (of 3) with a magnificent view. For the 3rd night we had to move to a smaller (but not small) room, also one with a view...

This parador is in an amazing location. Wonderful countryside and great views. Staff very helpful and friendly. Dinner in restaurant was wonderful although main dishes where rather pork centric. Excellent quality fresh produce, presented very well. Delightful staff. So why only a average raring overall ????- very hohh proxes to stay here. Clearly paying for location and the experience as...

Fantastic location for mountain walks. To expensive compared with general comfort. A bit tricky to find the hotel, it is not in Cazorla town or close neigborhood. Friendly staff and exellent breakfast.

Hunting lodge set in spectacular mountainside park location. Be prepared that the Parador is some 25 km from Carzola itself and the drive will take about 40 minutes through very twisty and quite narrow roads. This Parador is in many ways a little tired and showing the need for a concerted maintenance programme, but is comfortable enough for the type...

There is a hairy drive up to the parador but the views and location are worth it. Parking is no problem. Ask for a room overlooking the car park and as far from the bar area as possible. This is excellent walking country. The food and service are good and the pool and garden are relaxing.

As you approach you get the wow factor with the great scenery. The hotel is an old convent but you wouldn't know, as it has been renovated completely in a nice way. Unfortunately the resceptionist didn't understand English very well, which seemed strange, bearing in mind he has to guide tourist from all countries not just Spanish, but we got...

Loved the location which is away from everything. You have a pool that looks out onto the beautiful mountains. We slept like babies in the very spacious rooms. The only thing I would suggest is to change to more modern hairdryers. So, bring your own for now. The staff is extremely nice and the food is very good!

A really peaceful location with stunning views over the national park. The parador is in typical Spanish style, staff were welcoming and friendly, we had our little dog with us and we pre-arranged this because they have some rooms that can accommodate small dogs in the room for a charge. Dogs are not allowed in any of the other hotel...

“We had a room in the hotel overlooking the garden and mountains. It was adequately furnished and quiet. The rooms around the courtyard may be a little dark as they are close to the forest and in inclement weather you would get wet getting to the hotel. Not sure whether the coming and going of vehicles may also disturb you but as there is nowhere to go, the vehicles, other than those owned by staff do not move after dark.”
