We drove up to Carmona from Malaga for our silver wedding anniversary over the August bank holiday. The plan was to stay in the Parador for two nights and go into Seville on the day in between. We never made it to Seville. Carmona is so beautiful and really interesting and the Parador was so restful. Even though we'd booked... More

This was our third and final parador stay (family of five travelling from Madrid to Marbella), and it has to be said, that each one got progressively better! Perched high above the Sevillan plains on the edge of the picturesque town of Carmona, this was the most impressive architecturally of the three paradors and we loved it from the minute... More

A beautiful hotel, with an excellent pool and views across the Spanish countryside. We found the food overpriced for the quality of food delivered and the waiting staff were average; not five star. Carmona is a beautiful sleepy town with a fair bit to see and you can get a bus into Serville with relative ease. We found a resturant... More

Our Andalucian tour was completed here. The Parador itself has a good setting, good accommodation, and most importantly good staff. Paradors (I think) rise or fall on staff quality and attentiveness; and this one was definitely a good one! From the reception staff who put up with ropey Spanish, to the bar staff who remembered which champagne we liked; they... More

We drove from Cordoba to Carmona on a beautiful evening arriving in Carmona while the countryside was still bathed in sunshine. As we rounded a corner in the street (tight as a proverbial- the corner that is) I was watching out for random vehicles and a Wow was breathed by my co-pilot, it meant what a view, what a landscape,... For a genuine Parador feeling, this is a good place. It's an old monastery converted into a hotel. Service was very good. The rooms made a bit of a worn-out impression, but that's partly due to it being an old building. We had two rooms, one of which smelled a bit like old carpet. We also had a electrical problem,... My wife and I stayed at this Parador in early Sept 2012. The hotel is easy to find when approaching Carmona due to the fact that it dominates the sky line and also because the hotel is well sign posted. When you arrive you will drive through the old battlements of the castle into the central courtyard, where there is... More

Having visited this Parador 25 years ago I was looking forward to returning, it didn't disappoint. The economic situation in Spain has meant that some of the little touches - slippers, fluffy bathrobes etc- are no longer there but the building is quite stunning being a 14C castle tastefully restored along with usual Parador standards. The rooms are very comfortable... More

We stayed here for three nights as two couples, celebrating a joint wedding anniversary date. First views of the Parador for us, approaching from the south, were amazing, standing as it does on a high promontory overlooking the plain over which the road from Ronda and Marchena passes. Once in the town of Carmona, follow the Parador signs through the... More

We stayed at this hotel on 1st September 2012. It is a fantastic location on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Carmona. We spent time relaing around the lovely swimmimg pool, gardens and pool bar prior to sitting on the Parador terrace with the fantastic views. We waited till night time to take in the town of Carmona due... More
