We stayed one night, as we planned an olive oil tour nearby. We had a Superior room (i.e. views across the plains, large). Aircon was amazingly quiet and efficient, bathroom large and every facility, little balcony for gazing out across an amazing view (albeit very hot, and morning valley mists!). We didn't eat here, as the little ancient town with... More

We had three rooms in the hotel, one twin for each of our teenage children and we shared the junior suite. Lovely rooms with adequate air conditioning during a stay which saw temperatures reach 40C. The salt water pool was wonderful, not least because it was at least half in shade for much of the time. The staff were efficient... More

We spent only one night here, but I wish we had stayed longer. The room was only ok, nothing special, but comfortable, clean and quiet. The building, on the other had, was spectacular; the patio we found particularly attractive, the restaurant inviting, and the interior decor superb. Having a cold beer by the pool during the hottest hours of the... More

Our final destination in Spain - a beautiful stylish hotel with a few pleasant surprises. Our room was old style but beautiful. We had a wonderful private roof garden that allowed us to see across the roof tops to the church towers in the town and the stunning countryside panorama towards Seville. The food was excellent - we had a... More

The junior suite was very nice, with lots of space and a terrace but the double bed was really too narrow for comfort. My fault because I had requested twin beds but could not be bother to go back to a very distant reception and ask to change room... The barmaid (?) in the Irish Pub (only place open at... More

I've chosen Carmona because of it's location between Sevilla and Cordoba so I was pleased to find a hotel which wasn't part of a large international chain. The hotel complex is an old building, with a castle-feeling to it. I had a nice and spacious room - tidy and well equiped although a little dated and quite old finished. In... More

This was our fourth hotel on our journey having stayed in Seville when we arrived off the plan before travelling down to Conil on the coast and back towards Seville for ease of access to the airport. We loved the hotel which has some really interesting features and is quite special. The food in the old town is really very... More

We chose Carmona as it's within striking distance of Seville. The hotel was hard to find in the very narrow streets, which were not well-signposted. There was a hotel garage, though it was very awkward to get at. Room was excellent, and my wife enjoyed the pool in the shady courtyard. However, there seemed to be very few staff about... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, so we could explore Carmona, and sightsee in Cordoba and Seville. The hotel lived up to our expectations and the standards were good. We felt as though we were in an authentic country hotel in an historic town. However, it also lived up to its previous negative comments which highlighted its... More

On the fence between 3 stars and 4. I was in a big double room on the ground floor. It was, clean and comfortable but not quiet. Facing the street you could hear everything outside. With a very early wake up every morning when the garbage trucks came to empty the bins outside my window. Wifi was a bit slow... More
