We stayed here for 2 weeks in the "casita". Though small, the house is very well equipped and stylish - and the large bedroom was cool and airy. From the terrace, where we spent most evenings, and the beautiful swimming pool, there are fantastic view over the Straits of Gibraltar to Morocco. The English owners live on site with their... This simple but lovely little casita is a great bolthole for two, perched on picturesque terraces above Pelayo and just 10 minutes from Tarifa and Algeciras. Anything the casita lacks in sophistication is more than made up for by the stunning views over the Straits of Gibraltar clear across to Morocco, by the private use of the spring fed pool... More

We stayed back in August for 5 nights. Planned to do so much in the local area and came and fell in love wth the place (and as a result didn't do much at all). Spent some very relaxing family time for days around the beautiful pool. Alistair, Amy and family are wonderful hosts and best of all is Mo... More

Our 4 day stay was too brief with this warm and welcoming couple. We had the rustic yet stylish Casita with it's private gardens and stunning views across to Tangeirs. The Bed was BIG and comfy the furniture lovely and the kitchen area had everything you need for self catering. A great base to explore the region with Tarifa only... More

We stayed in Huerta Las Terrazas in June of this year. I was six months pregnant and we wanted somewhere relaxing to chill out at but close enough to Tarifa town and beaches. This place was perfect for us. We stayed in the private Cadiz which had amazing views over the Straits to Morrocco with it's own garden and easy... More

We're reluctant to share the secret of Huerta las Terrazas with others - when you find a place this special you want to keep it to yourself. This would be a terrible injustice to Amy and Al however, two simply wonderful people who welcome guests into their home like old friends and make your stay a uniquely memorable one. My... More

We spent five nights with Al and Amy and had the most perfect time and just as all the other reviewers say here, they were brilliant hosts. The room was wonderful, with a view of Morocco, the best duvet, and lovely furniture and decor (and we're fussy!). Breakfast was fresh figs from the garden (thank you Al for saving me... More

We visited again a year later and it was just as magical. The breakfasts are superbly made and delivered by Al. The rooms are beautiful, freshly drawn water from their well, lavander on the pillows are just some of the little touches that make this place perfect. Not forgetting the hosts who become your friends, they have plenty of advice... More

We spent 3 nights in this comfortable environment, a good base to explore this part of southern Spain. The house and rooms are decorated in a subtle and tasteful way. Plenty of lovely touches: flowers in the room and candles on the verandah at night. Alistair was a very attentive host who made us feel very welcome. A splendid breakfast... More

The owners of Huertas las Terrazas - Amy and Al - are the kindest, most caring hosts you could wish to meet. From the moment that you walk through the arch of sweet scented jasmine into the paradise of their garden, all your needs are met. The bedrooms are elegant and comfortable, with views across to Morocco. Breakfast is served... More
