We stayed there five nights for ski, the hotel is perfectly placed. It looks brilliant, rooms are very warm, staff was very polite and friendly. You have many choices for breakfast and also very tasty.
Very disappointing. We went for a romantic Valentine spa weekend, & chose Rina Sinaia because the photos of the pool & sauna looked amazing. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived to learn that the spa was closed due to COVID. I've checked the website since our return, & I again don't see any mention that the spa is closed. When booking we asked for a room on the back side with a mountain view. Instead we were given a street room on the first floor with a view of a roof & 20 air conditioners. I went back downstairs, waited in the queue, & was given a mountain view room. It was next to the housekeeper closet, so we were awake by 7 a.m. when the housekeepers started chattering & working. The hallway vacuuming started before 8 a.m., I guess to make sure not only we were awake but everyone on the floor was too. The furniture is ok for a 2-star hotel. The toilet paper was so rough we went out & bought our own. The shower didn't function correctly so the first time I turned it on I was sprayed in the face rather than have the water come out from the faucet below so I could test the temperature. The wifi is very weak except early in the morning. We gave up trying to use it at night. There was loud music coming from somewhere Saturday night. It ended about midnight. We booked two massages online with our reservation. The hotel confirmed & said the reservations would be booked & our time slots awaiting us on arrival. Not so. There was no reservation: we had to go to the spa office to book. We were given little choice because it was Valentine weekend & they were almost fully booked. So instead of our joint romantic massage we had two separate massages at different times. To be fair, the spa did offer to refund our money but we declined since we wanted at least something of our spa weekend. The only positive was the ample breakfast buffet. It is very generous with lots of good food for all sorts of preferences. The warm food could be actually warm if burners were lit under the trays. The lines for coffee were annoying. There need to be more machines or a different set up. There needs to be monitoring of COVID compliance with masks & the plastic gloves that we are handed out. Some people were at the buffet with neither mask or gloves, & staff seemed way to busy to be concerned.…
The smell of food was noticeable even at the 6th floor, from from the kitchen. The hotel does not have wi-fi / internet. We had to wait almost 30 mins in a queue in order to get checked-in. In our room the furniture was ancient and the balcony door did not close properly.
We stay at Rina Hotel Sinaia for two nights from saturday to monday in February. The first impression was nice, the person from reception was quite politely like all the hotel personnel. We have a budget room above the restaurant back exit ( at 00:00 the make a lot of noise with some big boxes ). The room that we have was quite terrible i think they didn't make any changes in the past 10 years ! They have 2 parkings, one for "important persons" and another for the ordinary people if you have luck you can find a place for your car if not ... ! I will give 4 Stars for the breakfast, was quite good! From my opinion for the monney that you pay at Rina Sinaia you will recive maximum 3 Stars !
Been there in November 2020 and treated excellent, therefore decided and returned in Jan 2021.Once again, all staff were very friendly, guest oriented, going an extra mile to please guests. Large and clean rooms where cleaning was done on daily basis, comfy bed, new furniture-everything perfect!Excellent serving in the restaurants, cozy atmosphere in hotel bar, live music during weekends with a good band. Enjoyed once again and returning for sure! Congrats for all staff!
