This turned out to be rated a surprising 'best palace ever seen' by my 12yr old daughter because she found it the 'cosiest' palace she's ever seen! That's true! Perhaps because it was built in the time of trasition from ancient to modern utilities, it has the grandeur of gilded old palaces while being designed to optimise electricity consumption. A... More

We took the basic tour of the lower level and it was amazing with each room totally unique to each other! Pay the extra and visit the second floor and the bedrooms and bathrooms! Also pay for a photo pass! Very beautiful

For me,Peles is the most beautiful romanian caste to visit. It is a full of history place and it's the perfect way to undestand how the Carol I king was living.Everyone should visit this castle and I will come back for sure!

If you can only manage one full day outside of Bucharest, make it the one where you visit Sinaia, Bran, and Brasov. It is a long day (12-14 hours typically), but very worth it. The highlight for me was Castelul Peles. Beautifully surrounded by forest in the mid-elevation mountains north of Bucharest. Most times, one may only tour the ground... More

A true masterpiece of arhitecture. The weapons colletions inside the castle is really impressive. As are all the rooms we were shown. The librabry contains several books from back then and it also has an hidden corridor behind a bookcase, which is saddly closed or not avaible to admire. The view around the castle is also something special, you have... More

Visited Sinaia for the weekend. This castle was by far the best we saw. A MUST SEE! Luxiourious decor and charming architectural flare. The tour guides were very accommodating and knowledgeable, I would recommend paying extra for the second floor.

Interesting castle. Only did the first floor but it was interesting to see. Definitely the 'international' rooms. If you are not a Romanian I would suggest just taking the audio guide and going at your own pace.

Unfortunately, closed in November for cleaning and maintenance but still a beautiful place to visit with all the surroundings and gardens. Even in the winter time. Has an amazing atmosphere about it and has some cafes and restaurants around. The Sinaia region is full of pretty spots and you can explore a bit if you want. It's certainly a castle... More

Ok. We came here as part of a tour. The Castelul Pestilor was interesting and I would recommend the self guided tour. We had a guide and we couldn't hear her and she just described the name of the room. No extra info. The place was busy and when we got separated from our group, the attendants were not helpful.... The queue for tickets was “only” 20 minutes, but then the hassle began. At ticket counter we were told, that there would be an English language-tour every 15 minutes, but we ended up waiting 45 minutes at the entrance door. We were not allowed to join an Italian language tour, which departed much earlier, though we didn’t care about the... More
