big rooms, not very clean. Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Good location, and pool area. Many things can be done without leaving the territory (bobsled, horse riding, pools, saunas, boats, outside swimming pool, entertainments for kids, disco, etc, etc.) it is accommodation for people who like huge, Turkish style hotels. It is very crowded, noisy, many drunk guests screaming all night. Hotel is quite expensive, so it is strange to pay for parking place additionally....

The hotel was described to us as an excellent hotel, but some things were disappointing. The room is very spacious with a nice bathroom. But there were twin beds (a minus for me) , no safe deposit box, dated furniture. A lot of noise outside from lots of swallows flying around. When I have looked outside, I saw the reason: there were no less than 5 nests on our balcony, with birds zipping in and out constantly! The plaster is flaking from the ceiling. The bath towels were paper thin and could hardly dry. The pedal of the trash bin wasn't working, so the lid had to be opened by hand. The food selection was good, but tasted only OK. Coffee mashines with bigger coffee selection would be most welcome. Nice location though.

The hotel is situated on the Talty Lake. It has a very nice swimming pool, and what's called "Tropikana", probably one of the nicest in Poland. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that loves silence, cause it's little to big and that kind of destroys its value. I'd prefer instead some of the small B&B closer to the city of Mikolajki. Even though, if you go there you won't be bored, they have tennis courts, horses, night club, bowling etc.

So much went wrong during our 7-night stay. First and foremost, no one helps you with luggage upon arrival or even offer to park your car. Parking is paid about 50zl per day. The hotel is old and run down. I noticed chipped walls, dirty windows and used furniture. The reception ladies are friendly but don’t know the answers to most basic questions. This hotel does NOT offer air conditioning in the rooms!!!! The only bearable way to sleep is with the balcony door wide open. Pillows are flat, beds hard and uncomfortable. I hardly slept at all. Make sure you iron all your clothes before arrival since there are no irons in rooms. If you need to iron your dress you have to walk through the hotel to a laundry room on the 5th floor. What an inconvenience!!!! Food is just okay, 3/4 of the buffet is exactly the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is not a fancy hotel by any means. They claim to be a 4 star hotel, but I wouldn’t give it more than 2.5-3 stars. They advertise to have a golf range on property but it’s always closed. The water slides which are the main attraction of the water park are for children 13 years of age or older. We found out about this rule when my child was denied access to the slides on the 5th day of our stay. If you decide to go ice skating please bring gloves. It is absolutely freezing in the ice skating area and little hands get cold fast. The greatest part about the hotel is the roller coaster!!! My child loved it and went on it numerous times- the good news is that kids under 8 pay 50% less.

I honestly tried to include positive elements about our stay but could not find any. This place is an absolute joke. We booked 6 days in the hotel with highest level of all inclusive booking. When we arrived at the hotel we found out they don’t have ac in the room. It was close to 40c outside. We were with little kids and they were covered in sweat every night we stayed in this craphole. HOW DO YOU CHARGE 3000 dollars for a stay and not have AC. When we complained the manager couldn’t care less. Finally she brought us a fan which made me laugh. They sell themselves as a 4 star resort but honestly it’s mostly for local standards. If you are westerner you will be treated like dirt and taken advantage of. We paid for 3 meals a day but you can only check in at 3 which means on the first and last day you only get one meal. The manager told me I should have read the fine print. All of the employees pear miserable and could care less. The facility is outdated and the rooms look like a communist gulag. Go so where else there are plenty of modern hotels around this place sucks.

I haven't planned to write this review – this hotel is not worthy of it. But I have decided it is our resposibility, the responsibility of traveling community, to warn other travelers about potentially dangerous places. I went there in summer last year with my husband and 2-year old son – quite a long time ago and my emotions about this place have long ago dissipated. We have chosen this hotel for its location, indooor swimming pool area (waterpark Tropicana) and supposedly family-friendly attitude. The hotel itself is mediocre at best, with rooms, restaurants and public areas calling for a major renovation. It had its hey-day in the beginning of 1990's and hasn't been updated since. It is huge, loud, kitschy and lacking in atmosphere, the service seems friendly but they are not effective. The location is a plus – it sits right at the lake. Now comes the warning: even if you do decide to stay at this hotel, do not enter the Tropicana water park for it is dirty, dirty, dirty!!! Tiles covered with fungus and mould, dirty couches, floors and bathrooms. With this amount of guests visiting with young children such facilities should be disinfected on a daily basis. Well, they aren't. Had I known that my son would develop a 2-week long stomach disorder, I wouldn't have allowed him to even enter this germ-ridden area. On the last night of our stay we learned about other children who have suffered from similar symptoms: high temperature, vomiting, diarrehea, lack of appetite, general weakness. Our son developed all these symptoms on our way home and stayed in bed for 2 weeks battling with the virus. We have reported about the problem of hygiene to the reception but they refused its existence or stayed adamant about it. The visit at their indoor swimming pool was a life threatening situation to our son and I will never forget it. This hotel enjoys a good attendance since there is not much competition around but this shall change as I have heard that Sheraton is building a nice hotel and spa there in Mazury. Perhaps the age of hegemony of Golebiewski will finally come to an end.

Not one of our better accommodation decisions!! We regrettably spent 3 nights in this hotel. The only thing positive to say about it is that it is located in the scenic Polish Masuren Lake area. The hotel is huge (500+ rooms) and appears to have been built with the socialist era in mind. Everything is large, impersonal and the staff unfriendly and generally unhelpful. Service is generally non-existent but we suspect that would not concern the staff. We found a reluctance or perhaps inability of many of the staff to speak either English or German. It is designed to serve the Polish traveller rather than the international traveller. While we found the room size good. However, we were inundated with ants during our stay. If you wanted a holiday camp type experience this may be a place to stay with family.
All public areas are noisy and looking extremely tired.
The food is at best mediocre. It is the only hotel that we have ever stayed where the wine was served using a "spirit shot glass" to measure out the wine by 125ml glass.
There are plenty of other accommodation alternatives in the area.
Not an experience we will want to repeat.

This hotel can be compared to a big monster swallowing you and I would even like to stay there for a while, if it would be nice there...
Here is a list of all the pluses and minuses:
-the HOTEL is in a "E" shape so that most of the rooms have a terrible view. If it would be a normal rectangular block, one side would have a wonderfull lake view and the other would have a good view on the area BUT: the archictect had to try something new and it clearly went wrong. Therefore most rooms have an amazing view on the hotels kitchen and staff rooms!

-the FOOD is good although not having to much alternatives for vegetarians: 3/5 stars . The food in the green restaurant (not included in price-extra charge) is simple great: 5/5 stars.

-the FACILITIES and FURNITURE is somehow communist style and not very up to date. Renovation and redecoration clearly needed. The BEDS are a catastrophe...you don´t have a real mattress but sleep on bed which is hard like a sofa! Tne air condition wasn´t working and it was extremly hot!

- the worst thing in the Hotel is the STAFF! There are of course also friendly employees, but the bigger part of them is simply arrogant and ungracious. Especially the lady in the green restaurant with the high heels (which by the way absolutely doesn´t fit to a waiter in a restaurant).

I have to mention here that there are truly many things to do in that hotel and i hadn´t a bad time at all. It is just too expensive to make so many mistakes in this branch. An air condition which is not working cannot be accepted at all.

P.S. I gave a few things to the laundry. I was shocked when receiving the bill (200zl-50€). This is ridiculous!

If you want to spent a nice, relaxing time with family and/or friends this is definitely NOT the right place. I don't know how many rooms they have but for me too much. I do not like thousands of people's rooms that most probably have paper walls and food that your stomach will remember for a quite long time (heavy with luck of taste) and service like in early 80'. I bet you can find much nicer place in Mikolajki.

W każdym pokoju jest czajnik, jednak szklanki do wody są bardzo niewielkie i sam przywożę sobie domowe dla wygody. Garderoba bardzo duża. Pokoje spełniają swoje zadanie.
