Recently had a dining experience in Glesson's restaurant and it reminded so much for food for the sixties. The foyer area where we were served pre dinner drinks was cosy with a warm fire, nice soft furnishing and a carpet. The menu was rather long and the waiter then came to announce the specials of the evening two soups and roast beef...

I did enjoy my self, some improvements are required, during our meal, the restaurant was fully booked, which caused a lot of noise, too much to enjoy our own conversations, the party which was at my table consisted of 8 people. The starters was very nice, I was the only one to have stake, I was not happy with the...

We stayed in Gleesons in July, for a family gathering. It is a lovely place to stay, the rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a family meal in the restaurant and it was superb, as well as being great value. We have stayed there several times. It never disappoints and we will be back

Stayed for a few days a couple of weeks ago - not in the main hotel, but in their self catering apartment (a few kilometres away in Lanesborough - by Lough Ree). The apartment is great - well equipped and in a lovely place with a view of the Lough from the deck outside. The owners of the hotel could...

What a positive experience!! We were here only one night, as our last night before leaving No. Ireland, and we could have stayed longer. Owner, staff, and surroundings were all most pleasant. Room (we were upgraded to a suite) was lovely. We had an excellent dinner meal at a tremendous value/price in their restaurant (I would encourage them to raise...

While touring the West coast of Ireland, a few of us decided to use Gleeson's as a base. From there we went to Sligo, Galway, Knock and many other places. It was an ideal base, with excellent service and constantly smiling staff, polite helpful, a really personal service. The rooms are clean, up to date and all well presented. The...

We were passing through Roscommon and were looking for somewhere nice to eat. While lo parking the car we spotted Gleeson's Townhouse. We had a delicious lunch here and as we were a family of four adults with all different tastes Gleeson's did not disappoint. The young ladies who tended to our table were both helpful and very polite. Our...

Sunday Lunch was a huge disappointment both in terms of the quality of service and food received. Firstly, about the service, although our waitress was friendly she appeared to be under pressure all of the time and was rushing about. We were left waiting for long periods of time i.e. to order initially, to order dessert, our plates were not...
