We found Jacksons a bit shabby overall. No great welcome when we came. We paid 76.50 Euro on arrival, and were immediately told that it did not include breakfast. Room was basic enough. When we came in that night, there seemed to be an unpleasant smell downstairs. The bed was comfortable, we slept well and the shower was good. In... More

We received no welcome or even acknowledgment upon arrival from the manager/owner. Not what I have come to expect when visiting Ireland. When we finally got his attention he was vague and offhand, and told us that breakfast would be at 10am. I told him that we had an early funeral to attend, and one of the reasons we had... More

Booked an event here and was very disappointed with management and how an issue was dealt with, will not be returning. Very unprofessional, do not have skills required to deal with customers. Food was okay, desserts were very poor, especially chocolate brownie served with nothing only reheated and with burnt chocolate on top.

My husband and I stayed here as we were attending our friends wedding near by. The rooms were basic but adequate, no problem for us at all as we were barely in our room. The breakfast was fantastic and the service was excellent. The location of this hotel is ideal for the town amenities and as a base if you... More

No hot water or heating couldn't have a shower for the whole stay. Room was stuffy and had to climb a wall using the chair that was there to close a window. Walls were very dirty. Like a Box room. Too small also a little box t.v. Only good thing is -the location. Breakfast wasn't to bad. Badly ran.

Locations excellent, right in town centre. Checked in quickly, the bar/restaurant area is nice with lovely decor, room was Up two steep flights stairs with no lift so not suitable for everyone, stairwells were very old carpet worn etc. Room was clean but really outdated, the modern decor downstairs definetly doesn't extend upstairs. The tv was from the 80's, no... More

Not that clean , food ok , very dark for breakfast . Service very slow, waited 25 minutes for breakfast . Place needs a good Spring clean for about two weeks . Got up on Sunday morning at 9.30 and had to wait until 10.30 - 11am for warm water to have a shave & shower.

We should have checked the room before paying the 75 eu for the night, but we didnt & unfortunately spent the night in this substandard accommodation. If it was the only place available then we would have had to grin & bare it but after walking around town we found much nicer accomodation nearby & at the same price. In... More
