I booked one night in shalom on the recommendation of a friend. Suffice to say I wasn't disappointed. Jackie proved to be a very capable hostess and everything from advice on local amenities to the sumptuous cooked breakfast the next morning scored top marks all round. The room was absolutely spotless and a very peaceful night's sleep ensued. Shalom is...

We stayed for one night whilst at a wedding. The downstairs room was clean and spacious with a double bed and a single. However when we arrived the room was freezing. There was an electric heater in the room but we couldn't get it on and were assured it along with the heating would be on for our return. We...

My husband a stayed at The Shalom last weekend. We made very welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was extremely tasty and all served in a very friendly manner, It only took as few minutes to walk to the centre of the village so an excellent location.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the view from the balcony in the chalet was breathtaking, Jackie the owner greeted us on arrival and made us extremely welcome,...

I stayed here for one night. Shalom is only a short walk from Carlingford and is right on the edge of the loch. Great views and the lady of the house made me very welcome. I'd definitely stay here again.
