Stayed with group of friends, come with young children.. Love this hotel, it is quaint and maybe lacks polish-creaky stairs for ex!-but this adds to the charm and character. Hotel reception were very accommodating as some of our large party were arriving and departing at different times and some didn't use all of the accommodation days that they had booked. Hotel... Just back from a 2 day stay, we felt it was excellent. The room was spacious and nicely appointed, the view was wonderful, the food was good and the staff were lovely. I would recommend it, just remember it is old world with things like creaky stairs, not state of the art modern. That said we loved are stay, with... More

Third year and booked again for next year. Excellent hotel. Location is right on a magnificent beach. Food fabulous and staff are great. Owner is always hovering around checking to see if everything is in tip top condition. Don't miss this hidden gem.

about two months ago we stayed here on the way to the Rosses. The welcome was like as if you had been there several times. Our experience in the dining room was such that we will return in September 2015 for our wedding anniversary. The tide was in ,the waves had a free run in across a flat beach and the consequent... A beautiful hotel right on the beach with every room having a panoramic view (you don't have to pay any extra!). The staff were, without exception, super friendly and helpful, the rooms large and spotless and the food/wine/restaurant delicious. We travelled with young children who were catered for and made to feel welcome. Irish hospitality at it's finest...do yourself a... More

Overnight stay with friends. Rooms very spacious, clean with all amenities you'd expect. Good food for evening meal with a nice wine selection. Loads of space around hotel to sit and catchup. Nice balcony area overlooking sea if the weathers on your side! Breakfast was delicious and staff were extremely helpful and full of banter

We were booked into this "elegant hotel" by our travel agent . The photos and promotional material depicted an elegant hotel on the beach . This is a weekend family ( read loud and running teenagers) surf / beach hotel ---- NO elegance --- no quiet ! We were given the key to our room which resembled an army barracks... More

I visited here for a short stay with friends. We played golf at Murvagh. It's off the beaten track, and is uniquely positioned with sea views directly onto a wonderful beach and Vista. I recommend getting a sea view room, open up the windows and listen to the waves hit the shore on full tide. It's an old school hotel... More
