Great access to the beach! Recommend the seafront view in the rooms. Great restaurant in the hotel. Quiet area, but great for a get away. Hotel slightly old fashioned, but easy to forgive it once you see the beachfront views. Nice bar in hotel also-surfers bar.

After an enjoyable 3 night stay last July, my wife and I wondered whether the high standard set would be maintained for this year's 3 nighter. We were not disappointed - outstanding service from all staff we encountered, a friendly hands-on Owner / Manager, high quality food, spacious room and of course the stunning location on the 2 mile beach.... Booked the sand house hotel at short notice on the hottest day of the year and luckily got a vacancy! Hotel is well signposted. Location is fantastic right on the lovely beach. Limited parking at the hotel but later seen there is an overflow car park across the road. We didn't get a sea view room due to limited availability... More

Views, the room and the restaurant were all exemplary. Well done to Paul Diver, Elizabeth Harkin and the whole Sand House Hotel team for a most enjoyable stay. My parents Betty and Harry Egan visited often in the 60's 70's and 80's to meet up with previous legendary owners Mary and Vinnie Britton.

We stayed at the Sandhouse for the week-end and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The views across the Atlantic are breathtaking. Upon arriving we were pleasantly greeted by the reception staff and shown to our rooms which were spotless with amazing views. We had dinner each evening in the restaurant and could not complain about anything, presentation, quality and quantity... More

Stayed for one night on a Wild Atlantic Way trip around Donegal. Hotel is in a magnificent location right on Rossnowlagh beach with a surf school nearby. Hotel is “olde worlde” and we were warmly welcomed by Elizabeth on reception who walked us to our room. We got the honeymoon suite, still not sure how it happened, but it was... More

We stayed here for 1 night and that was plenty. The hotel is very dated and smells of damp/dust. The lady on reception who checked us in was friendly. The room we stayed in was big with a fabulous sea view, which was it's only saving grace. The carpet had been cut round the wardrobe, the furniture is like something... More

Stayed here for two nights in July. Room lovely. Hotel an old Manor House with old world charm. Rooms fresh and very comfortable. Views from bedrooms stunning. Hotel right on beach. Beautiful walks and plenty of surfers in the water. Dinner excellent. Breakfast all cooked to order...perfect! Staff very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the shower head in... More

Booked into hotel just for one night. We had a lovely stay. Our room was on second floor and the view was second to none. The tide was in so the sea was a stone throw away. Such amazing views. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was delicious. We had seabass and steak and both were really well... More

We stayed for 2 nights and found it to be a very comfortable room/bed. I requested the Superior Double Room with Sea View. Our room was above the dining room, so we had a partial view of the flat roof but a gorgeous sea/beach view. I requested to be moved to a room down the hall but there were no... More
