I eat in the Bosun 20-30 times in 2016 and on occasions I have stayed in its B&B . It's hard to beat a good family run business like The Bosun. The food is excellent as is the wide and varied Menu for lunch and dinner. I have had most of the things on the menu and I have never...

As always, the Bosun does not disappoint. The staff are incredibly accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The Thai Beef Salad has to be tried. It is also available as a main course and the flavours are fantastic. A touch expensive but well worth it.

Had a great stay at the Bosun, having both dinner in the restaurant next door and breakfast which were both excellent with large portions. The room on the top floor was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend

Had lunch here recently and was impressed with the food and the settings. The food was reasonably priced. The only drawback was a staff member who made it clear how he felt if you dared to upset his routine. Would definitely recommend this place

We spent 4 fabulous nights here and everything was just perfect. The room was very comfortable with everything you need and a great view. As for the breakfasts this has to be the just the best anywhere. The bar is lovely warm and welcoming and the menu is very varied and we had some super meals there. Add to this...

The town of Monkstown is about a half hour's drive from Cork city and it's there you will find the Bosun bar and restaurant overlooking Cork harbour. We went there recently for lunch and our party of seven was not disappointed with our choice of venue. We ate in the bar and were treated to beautiful fare. The service was...

We recently stayed three nights at The Bosun and were delighted to find we were on the top floor with, I suspect, a larger than average room (a double and a single bed),a bowl of welcome strawberries,a chocolate on each pillow and great biscuits on the coffee tray! The establishment was comfortable, clean, everyone was very welcoming, the service was...

Had lunch here recently and was very disappointed. I has a medley of fish which came with potatoe veg and chips. The fish was over cooked and when I complained the waiter "whipped" the plate away not asking if there was anything else I would prefer. Less than 3 mins later a fillet of cod on arrived on a plate...

A large group of our friends travelled from England for our wedding which we had in Monkstown church and Kinsale after. Many of our friends and family stayed in the Bosun for a couple of nights before the wedding. The rooms were lovely with fresh fruit , snacks ad tea and coffee facilities. Everyone commented on how friendly the staff...
