This place had the cleanliness and comfort of a hotel, but with a very homely feeling with welcoming owners. There were only a few rooms, and the place was fully booked. We didn't notice it though, it was quiet. Everything was arranged well, there was an envelope with our name on it at the desk with our key. In the...

Great location, just out of town, right off of the main road. Its a working farm and they let you roam the property if you want to check out the animals (I didn't because it was very cold and snowy at the time). They also have a book in the rooms with recommendations of nearby food and sights to see....

I staid for one night in Guesthouse Lambastaðir and absolutely loved it. The room is very big for Icelandic standards, the bathroom was very modern and all in all the guesthouse was very comfortable and impressively clean. The Guesthouse was fully booked for the night but there was no noise problem at all. The walls are thick enough so even...

Stayed two nights (non consecutive) during our stay. Both rooms we had were good. The staff are friendly, the animals as well. Amazing breakfast both mornings. Saw the northern lights from the car park. No complaints, highly recommend!

We were a family of 5 with three young children and they were very accommodating in their suggestions of what we should do. We travelled around the...

My family and I stayed at this hotel on our trip through the Golden Circle. We arrived late, our keys were waiting for us. Rooms are simple, clean and efficient. It is a small, cozy guesthouse that is perfect after a day of hiking and driving around. Great breakfast, served by this very helpful couple.

My wife and I stayed at Lambastadir Guesthouse for a couple of nights in late December 2016 after driving the golden circle on our way through to Vik. Arriving at night (note it's a little tricky to see the entrance in the dark), the owners simply left the key out for us at reception and we got to meet them...

We stayed at Lambastadir guesthouse after we completed our golden circle tour. The location is convenient. Owner was very warm and friendly. The farmhouse has sheep and chicken and horses. It is a good opportunity to see farm animals up close.
