My husband and I stayed here on our first night in Iceland and it was perfect! The guesthouse is SO peaceful and quiet, and on a beautiful little farm. We arrived in the evening and it was so beautiful outside that we had a picnic while visiting with the adorable sheep and lambs on the farm. We mentioned, when booking,... More

Beautiful guesthouse with hot tub and sauna. Kids loved running around the farm and petting the horses. Great breakfast and very nice family that runs the place. The staff was very helpful with ideas for places to see in the area.

We stayed here after a day of driving the Golden Circle. A cozy, welcoming, warm little inn. The room was great and the breakfast was delicious, and our daughter loved petting the hosts' dog. Our plans for the next day were cancelled last minute due to bad weather, and the hosts were very helpful with suggesting alternative activities.

We loved staying on the farm! We arrived after hours and our keys were waiting for us. The room was spacious with a good bathroom. We stayed on the end and it was very quiet. They had a hot tub, but we missed those hours. Breakfast was delightful, enjoyed the waffles. We got to walk around the farm and look... More

We stayed at Lambastadir for three nights in July with our two-year-old son. It's a bit of a drive from Keflavik airport but it's well worth it. Here's what I loved about Lambastadir: - The location: it's the ideal base to explore Southern Iceland at your own pace. In two days, we were able to cover the Golden Circle and... More

The guesthouse is located 10 minutes east of Selfoss (by car) - a good location for many attractions of the Golden Circle. The room was pretty standard. There were only a few minor inconveniences: the curtains didn't block the light well enough (we slept with sleeping masks), there was no thermostat to control the heating in the room, and the... The inn is located well just a short drive to town. There's a hot tub and a sauna that looks like a big barrel. The breakfast was delicious, and the ducks awaiting the scraps were cute. And best: really helpful, friendly proprietors who gave us excellent, well-informed advice about what to do on our trip.

We had a grea time at lambastadir. The room was clean and comfortable. The location in Selfoss is nice -- we arrived on an early AM flight and went straight to the blue lagoon (would totally recommend going then as it is nice to relax and it is not too busy on the early AM) and then we did the... Simple, basic guesthouse on a working farm. Clean room, hot shower and fine bed. I bet the breakfast is good, judging from the setup, but we left very early before it was offered. It was fun to interact with the horses and the proximity to Selfoss for food was helpful. It is in a somewhat bleak part of the Island,... More

Location is great. Easy quick access on Route-1. We are family of three spent one night on the way to VIK. Breakfast was good. Neat and clean with comfy room. For third person there is a rollaway bed. There is a clothesline outside the building which came handy after the bath in secret lagoon. There is coffee and tea in... More
