My wife and I stayed at one of the cottages. Although really tiny, it was very cute and cozy - like staying in a gnome's home. There was no TV, but that was okay with us. The main building had a great lounge area with turtles, parrot, foosball table, and board games. The

Visited as part of a school trip, and stayed in the long building for a night. We were provided with a lovely dinner and breakfast. The restaurant area is charming, and there’s a great common room with table football, ping pong, sofas and a lovely parrot who likes to whistle - a

It’s basically a converted farmhouse, and it’s super cute and cosy! Great staff, rooms, facilities, atmosphere. Love it all and 100% recommend. Better than any hotel I’ve been to in Iceland so far. Well worth it

Couple of us friends stayed there for one night and it is decent. Staff is very friendly but the rooms and the bathroom is very small. Heater is broken so they placed a portable heater which is not much effective. Breakfast is good.

Dear SomaK95762, thank you so much for your feedback! We are very happy to read, that you enjoyed our breakfast! Thank you for nice words about our staff as well, it is so kind of you! It is unfortunate, that you had this experience with our heater...we are aware, that these things should not happened and we will definitely focus on that to be able to avoid these situations in the future. Thank you for your objective feedback, it is very much appreciated. Kindest regards, Hotel Vatnsholt

Is there an ATM at this farm?
Sorry, I don't remember if there was an ATM. We never had trouble using debit and credit cards in Iceland except at a remote lodging place in the west.

is champagne included
Without question no. They do have a bar however and served a very good beer. This may be one of the oddest places I've ever stayed. We kept asking ourselves, now why did we book here? I would consider staying here to see the lights in the winter,or if I were traveling with children in the summer, neither of which was the case.

Breakfast was good, as was a draft beer. Didn't eat dinner there, we traveled with bread, cheese and nuts

There is nothing any where near, that's why it's good to view the lights in the winter. BYOSnacks
